  • In this episode, I visit the Om Banna temple in India, the only place in the world where a motorcycle is worshipped as a deity. It's a fascinating story and a popular pilgrim place. India keeps on surprising me, wherever I go!

The best part of our India is that every 100 hundred KM, the language, Food, landscape, tradition changes.. even we troll each other sometimes 😅 but in difficult times we stand with eachother. Otherwise a nation with 1.4 billion people with so much diversity should have been balkanized.

Not deity exactly and not just motorcycle. It falls under respect for Tools and Instruments. Tools and vehicles are integral to many people's livelihoods, and they are treated with respect as they facilitate one's work and daily life. By cleaning and worshiping them, people express gratitude for these objects that help them earn their living. Especially when buying a new one.

Motorcycle or any vehicle is worshipped during Vishwakarma puja or when we buy new vehicle . Reasons are first vishwakarma God is God of architecture or creation, so during that time we worship our vehicles or tools like hammer or anything which creates anything materialistic., as it gives new journey,
secondly your life depends on vehicle while driving bad or negative energy attached to it could harm you so we worship vehicle when it's new to throw away negative energy from it. We don't worship vehicle as God, but we worship God to give blessings to the vehicle and to keep us safe from accidents. 😊

This worshipping of many things like 🐄 🐘 🐒 🌴 🌞 🌙 💧 rivers and things like 🏍️ 🚘 e.t.c e.t.c is based upon a simple concept of showing GRATITUDE towards anything and everything that benefits us the human being be it a natural thing or something man made , because gratitude elevates a person , a community , a being towards higher standard . This simple concept is not understandable by most of the foreigners because they belong to much younger and immature culture comparing to Most ancient culture which is Sanatan hinduism . I’m writing this comment because many foreigners who will watch this video later may get an understanding of what we should mean by a culture or a community or a religion or a being 😇🙏🏽

To put Succinctly, it's not conventional 'deity worship'.. rather it's a way of showing gratitude towards the new tools and vehicles for easing our lives.. just like we worship cows for giving it's share of milk to nurture us, like a mother to child...Gratitude in India takes the form of worship 😊

She tells the story of that man in this video...there are many soldiers who already died and are still protecting the border after death ... That not just fluke real proof has behind it...that bike is also a proof... That's why the Indian army is in our heart...❤...does any other country have that...well they don't believe in after life ...how could they know it... Only "Sanatan Dharm"( Hinduism)... everything has a scientific explanation...

      @shubhamsingh-nl4fu Před 7 měsíci +7

Actually, the 15th century is not too old for us, so it's a rather modern fort. The reason for the construction of such big forts was
      1) The threat of Afghan / Pashtun raders who got converted to Islam a century after the fall of Sindh , around 1000 AD, and sacked Delhi in 1100 AD, defeating the last Hindu king of North India ,Prithviraj Chauhan , who was from Rajasthan.
      2) The turkic mongol armies that came from central asia via Khyber pass and captured delhi in 1500s.
So, geographically & culturally, Rajasthan has always been the biggest obstacle for invaders who wanted to rule North India permanently, hence the numerous forts .During that time, Islamic armies were an existential threat to our civilization. Hence, the urgency and the man power came from that.
"For a handful of millet, I almost lost the Empire of Hindustan “

The colors and details of the architecture in India are simply stunning! Thank you Noaly for the visual feast.. and all the laugshs, when you explained on the map that you went from point A to point B, you kind of went 'weeee!' that had me laughing 😂

Why is it every time I watch your videos,I’m instantly back in school for either an History or a Geography lesson. Then you add a splash of natural history for good measure. It never ceases to amaze me the attention to detail that you put into your story.
Did you try Buffalo cheese yet? I’ve heard it’s really rich and creamy

Indeed well said Barry! I would have got straight A's in history and geography if I had Noraly as a teacher. And just like these videos I'd be waiting in anticipation to get into class and never miss one! There are also many teachable moments (intentional I think) in her videos on what she doesn't speak about for viewers who pay attention to what's in the in the background. Peace!

Wow, this episode was packed with a variety of experiences. From the title, I was thinking...ahh a new display of Basanti. Quite an interesting story behind the bike and the deceased owner. You certainly had a variety of animals on your trip today. I was curious at the fort why the men were taking camels for a hike thru the fort until you explained the construction goin on lol. Looked like a very peaceful way to end your day, with the boat ride and the oh so very colorful, talented dancers. Loved the video, Noraly.

I commented basically same as your first sentence in different words. Amazing how Noraly masterfully blends from scene to scene with beautiful soothing music as a go between and after we are done watching, our brains are still playing catch up trying to comprehend what we just experienced. We are so fortunate to be with her on these journeys. Peace!

Every corner of your video has a story full of color, visual treats, and a sense of historical adventure. There are Dutch, Danish, French, Portuguese, and, of course, the British towns that were once trading posts in India as you ride down south.

India has different type of Language culture people geography in each state. Unity in diversity is our motto and strength. Athithi Devo bhava (Host like God). Loka Samastha Sukhino bhavanthu (All creatures in world should be well) is our slogan.

Very good choice to show what Indian civilisation is all about. The arquitecture, that last scene with the dancer carrying on her head all those containers is very impressive. Very good video, l have a better idea of India.

The head bobble is contagious isn't it? Saw you used it about 13 mins in.
The abundance of bright colors used for clothing and painting the buildings is wonderful. In comparison, Western cities and fashion appear so drab.

Once again the finest examples of architecture, history and nimble maneuvering through streets that must certainly be a challenge. I’m struck by the vastly different cultures of India compared with what I’ve just come to think of as ‘normal’. The ornate details of the ancient buildings is remarkable and surely you made the right decision to take a short jaunt on one of the lakes. So much different beauty that wasn’t expected, you’ve managed to show us, Noraly. Again your efforts in research and production lend so much to another terrific video…❤❤❤Rick
