He said when he was in there he had gotten into a confrontation with another inmate which escalated into a confrontation with a CO and when they took him back to lock him up they were arguing and he said, what are you going to do about it, nothing!! It’s happened to a lot of my military comrades. They go to war and come back broken and the government just boots them out knowing that they are suffering from psychosis and PTSD! My fiancé just got out and he has PTSD. I a vet so I know what he’s going through so it’s easier for me to understand what he’s going through and help him cope! 🙏🏽😕

As a former marine I can honestly say our vets need help. Doctors know people know but nobody cares they give you pills and send you on your way. This is a unfortunate situation condolences to the family. But our brothers and sisters need help.
Got out in 04, VA put me on Serizone. That's when treatment for PTSD was treated as a disability. Made me a fucking zombie for months. Never been back, never going back to them.
My brother was bad he join 04 left 09 came back even worse how can you help some one that was bad before and after war come back even worse they need to spend much more money

Meaning, collectively we act like an irrational emotional woman going through her period, or fighting with her boyfriend. We acknowledge the situation. For example, that this was a good guy who got damaged serving the country. Despite that, we got some sheriff talking tough, trying to justify the slaughter of this guy with an implied "no questions asked" green light for any citizen to do him.
We have that same irrational reaction to acts of heroism. A guy could selflessly risk his life to save a bunch of unrelated strangers, going above and beyond what almost any human would do, but when asked if he feels like a hero, we EXPECT AND DEMAND that he downplays his actions with an "aw shucks anybody would have done it" bullshit. If he were to say, "you know what, I was scared as hell, but I do feel like a hero", everybody would dismiss him as a braggart. It's a real big gap of phoniness we all agree to in this country, like some unwritten code.
The guy is either mentally ill to such an extent that is not "him" or he's not. If he is, the true blame belongs to us, those of sound minds, for allowing him to fall through cracks. That's how I see it anyway.

Just Florida being Florida. And in regards to PTSD, there are multiple levels to be diagnosed as through Veteran Affairs. Too many people think its a one-size-fits-all term. I served, Im diagnosed with PTSD, but my main thing is that I avoid being around large groups of people and that I'm overly hyper-vigilant in terms of cautiousness. But its not rated to the point where I would be considered a danger to myself and others, but there are others who have it 100x worst than me. Them liberal politicians would have an orgasm banning an entire group from exercising their right after serving honorably.
Very true about PTSD and one size not fitting all. I was sexually assaulted and have PTSD, but it doesn’t impair me to the point that it bothers some other survivors
