Okay, whatever we think of this movie, can we at least agree that Timon and Pumbaa still have all the best dialogue?
*Pumbaa:* “Can we please keep him? Oh, oh, okay, I promise, I’ll walk him every day. If he makes a little mess, I’ll clean it up!”
*Timon:* “You’ll be his little mess! He’s gonna eat you and then use my body as a toothpick!”
They were my favourite thing about the movie.
yea practically the only original different thing in the movie since literally everything elese was just 1 to 1 copy of the orginal. it's why mufassa death was just soo meh
I think they had the most dialogue
It was not a one to one copy it was different there was more depth added to characters we did not see Nala escape pride rock more added to why scar hated mufasa so much there were three hyenas when mufasa came to rescue Simba and Nala it's different

2010s Kids will never remember the Feeling of watching the old Lion King for the first time
I don’t even remember watching it when I was younger but my dad claims that I saw it. Seeing the remake felt like watching a documentary. I’m starting to watch bits of the original now

Hey i watched the old The Lion King and seeing mufasa getting trampled by the herd of wilderbeast (did i get that right? because i don't know since i'm from indonesia , so please inform me if there was some mistakes) in realistic CGI model is one of the things i'm not prepared to watch in The Lion King remake

I respect the Disney remakes. I feel like they are tributes to the original and not cash grabs. The effort put into the CGI alone shows that the creators really cared about what they were doing.

Only compliant I had was there wasn’t enough emotion displayed on Simba’s face when his dad dies. Ik the movie was supposed to be as close to realistic as possible but that one little hack would have been fine.

As someone who never saw the original movie in the theaters, I’m really glad I got to see this version instead. It’s definitely better than nothing.
So why don't you just rent the original it's still selling DVD's to this day.

Okay, I haven't seen the movie in full. This is the most I've watched of it and from what I've seen it's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Timon and Pumbaa are genuinely hilarious. They are great comic relief and the effects are fantastic. My only problem is that considering this is all cgi after all I wish they would have given the animals a little more facial expressions. Also, Mufasa's death is significantly more depressing when the characters look like actual real animals.

Say what you want about the movie, but let's agree that the visual effects and Timon and Pumbaa were the best part of this movie, (don't forget about music, don't mention be prepared, just don't)
I loved the hyenas in the first one, but I love them even more in this one. I'm a huge fan of the direction they went with them. Easily the best part of the movie- or, one of the best parts. Timone and Pumbaa were also pretty great. And Zazu. But I am biased towards hyenas; they're my favorite animal-
People need to get over themselves, no the remake isn't as good as the original. It was never gonna be, remakes never are. I liked it it, sort of like the original but with a new twist that works for this generation. Yes some moments with the emotions were off, but in my opinion the graphics are a visual masterpiece.
Why do they need to get over themselves? I'm sure you've never disliked a movie, right?

My biggest gripe with this version is why the hell was the whole moral of the story, from a fantastic analogy, cut from this emotionless version!?

It sounded like so much 😭😭😭 i watched the movie in August and everyone was so boring they weren’t laughing as much as these :(
They botched up "Be Prepared" and "Can you feel the Love Tonight" doesn't take place at night

when i first saw this in the theaters last year i remember i jumped when Nala jumps out and starts chasing Timon & Pumba i didn't quite see her until that part she blended in with the grass in this version compared to the 90s version where they show her off in the distance and pumba trying to eat a beatle lol
