Steven crying for his dad is honestly one of the most human moments in the show. We forget sometimes he's just a kid and when a kid doesn't know what to do they cry for their parents. It felt so real hearing him cry for his dad for the first time
The creators never forget this. And what Steven is having to do, it's a lot. Imagine what kind of effect that can have on a kid...

We put animals in zoos, but you know what's messed up? During the colonial period, human zoos were totally a thing. Showing people from different cultures as if they were animals.
well we are animals ,so not too far from the truth ,maybe we all deserve kindness and understanding ?
yeah, tbh I feel like calling it a human zoo in the show was a bit unfortunate because of how loaded the term is, especially when the “zoo” itself is just playing off of old pulpy sci fi movies more than anything else.
@@FlyingPotatoChickens The ''zoo'' in Steven's universe looks really nice compared to animal zoos (wide open space, a day-night cycle, nutritious food, planned activities, etc.). These people didn't even know they were in a zoo (their ancestors lived there) until Greg arrived. The best prisons are the ones where people don't know they're imprisoned, and if they did, they wouldn't want to leave.

The zoo scanners probably don't pick up on his gem because they're all calibrated for full-blooded humans and Steven is the first hybrid gem-human to ever exist. Also they hadn't been used for about 5,000 years prior to Steven & Greg arriving so they're likely very outdated as well. The next two episodes are a lot of fun, can't wait to see what you thought of them!
Agates, like Holly Blue, are at the top of all the Quartz soldiers when it comes to the Gem hierarchy, with them having an admistritive role inside the army of Quartz soldiers. Holly Blue's status is even higher than Jasper's. And Blue Diamond's relationship with Pink Diamond was showed at her physical debut. She misses her immensely being the reason why she kept her human zoo and kidnapped Greg to begin with.

Sapphires can see the most likely future, and follow that thread of experience to the end of their lives. Garnet can explore possible futures that result from any choices she can imagine any individual making in any upcoming situation, including herself.
I love your reactions to S.U!! Observation: it's important to remember that the Future vision comes from Sapphire, so when Garnet is not together, only Sapphire holds the ability to see into the future. I noticed that you guys forgot about this, thinking that only Garnet has this ability. But it's normal to be confused by that, a lot of fans are too. It looks like pearl is the bottom becs she doesn't get to do anything really useful but just to be a servant, as peridot said " someone shiny accessory"
Anyway after pearls I think it's guards like amethyst and ruby, maybe ruby is above amethyst I think and then it looks like it's this agahta and then sapphire
Peridot is under amethyst and possible ruby
Bismuth is probably on the same level as Peridot
Jasper is on the same level as an amethyst
And Lapis lazuli looks to be very high like sapphire, maybe the same Level as her or higher or below her but above others

AHHHH Get ready for the Zoomans. I love them sm. Gems really have no idea how any other life works except for themselves. It’s hilarious. Also finally seeing other Amethysts is so interesting. I can’t wait for the next pair of eps. The space episodes are my faves. 🤩
