- i guess Japan isn't to bad when you get to like 5.0 i just really didn't have fun with the lower brs.but it did get better.

Japan ground in general is honestly fine. It's the main tree I play with, so I made a list of good and bad things about the tree in case you want to get into it.
Pros:
4.3-5.0 has great tanks
Good guns overall (chi nu 2 is a god ong)
Gun depression will never disappoint
Accuracy is generally pretty darn good, especially with the 75 mm
Decent mobility
Most tanks in the tree are relatively small and are easier to conceal. This makes it easier to flank.
In realistic, the default green camo is really good at camouflaging in maps like Fields of Normandy
Ho-Ro is so fuc*king op cause it has 7 kg of TNT. Seriously, go clap tiger cheeks with it
Anti air tanks are surprisingly competent
Cons:
Armor is shitty in pretty much every rank, so never expect to bounce. The bottom line is don't get caught in open spaces.
The same 75mm gun is used from 4.3 all the way to 5.0, so good luck penning tigers and panthers at 5.0
Chi Ri 2 is honestly pretty bad. I like it personally because it looks like a chi nu on steroids and has an autoloader, but its harder to play than the m3 lee
Premium tanks suck (except the chi nu 2 which got overtiered for some reason)

Japan is a game of Hide and Seek, you literally have to learn to be a shinobi in order to survive XD. basics on how to stay alive and use Japan to it's fullest would be:
1 "Early game" stay with your heavier allies or rush camp/hiding spots, either way its best to asses which area needs the most help
2 "Mid game (assuming you are still alive)" once you know what is going on with your team, go help out those who need it most, who are: Lone tanks, Heavies, Tanks fighting off half of the enemy team. you pretty much ignore the allies who have many other teammates near them. Play like a shadow, Take a shot, Hide, Relocate, Repeat. often times playing like this is the best way to catch the enemy off guard since looking behind them or away from the tank you're covering is often the last thing they'll think of
3 "Mid game (assuming you died early game) instead of trying to conceal yourself with the surroundings, conceal yourself with your teammates, whenever they are reloading use that moment to peak and cover them should you enter a stalemate with a team member and enemy, use your smaller size to try to loop around the enemy
4 "Mid game (if you have a plane)" Japan has some of the best turn fighters in the game, pick your fights with caution cause Japan's planes are even more paper thin than their tanks if you are being chased tell your team to look up and fly over friendly AAs chances are if they aren't dumb they'll cover you and hopefully knock off whoever is chasing you
5 "Late game", this part is when you can throw away all the cautions and just go ham, this is when most of your enemies are practically AA, lights, or heavies for heavies use some extra caution but overall just be aggressive as playing aggressive might catch some guys off guard since Japan frontline aggression, and Late game isn't something people think would go together well.
6 "late game (if you have a plane)" if you only have guns focus on AA they are surprisingly more dangerous Late game more than anything else, if you do have bombs drop them on any remaining heavies or mediums, ignore lights and SPGs if your team isn't dumb they'll be killed easily, as for AAs just shoot them if you can
Extra tips:
Try to hide near dead bodies, since your often smaller, this can help a lot.
Turn off your engine in lower tiers, Japan in low tier use Manual turret traverse so turning off your engine wont hinder you and it'll help you hide yourself from people with godly earphones
Apart from late-game, don't even think of going frontline, trust me its not worth it
Use underused/uncommon routes even if they take so much longer cause they help with the next tip
Hide yourself as much as possible, Japan players are deadliest whenever the enemy has no fucking idea where they are, granted so are other nations but Japan just does it best
Be patient, if you find a convoy wait for all of them to pass before attacking from the rear, and don't stay in the route they used for too long, if possible peek, shoot, hide, check the back, repeat
(this is coming from a Japan main that plays 4.0-6.7 a lot so this is what i found to be most effective)
if you are fighting against Japan:
look closer at hiding spots
instead of directly trying to find Japanese players, wait for them to come out
if you know where a Japan player is, don't go after them they are cunning, just ignore them and after a while they'll leave that area, then you kill them
always expect them to be in the most random of locations
they are very crafty, they'll use every inch of the map to conceal themselves
a center mass shot is always a one-shot
be aware of your surroundings in dogfights they might bring you into a location they can turn in but you can't
in stalemates have eyes on the back of your head you never know where one will pop out
early game is the when they are most vulnerable so kill them and keep them from getting to their hiding spots before the match enters mid-game to keep them from becoming some of the most dangerous things out there

Sta-3 with 6 second reloading heatfs and aphe is a god at 6.7
The Japanese tree is fun, luckily only 2 days ago got the Type 90 before my premium time ran out. I will now get Type 93 and after that Type 10 and then Type 16 (since Type 10 is my end goal), probably after that I will get TKX.
But the Japanese tree was tbh fun, I liked the M36, Type 60 PRG and Type 87 RCV the most fun so far. (didn't take the Type 90 into battle outside of assault yet)

Я сейчас качаю шведов на cv90105, и мне кажется что ломна тип 16 немножко так слабоват (нехватает пробоя по ощущениям) . Но ты как считаешь, он стоит своих денег в плане эффективности. Заранее большое спасибо за ответ.
I think the type 16 is great if you want a light tank with big gun I honestly like it a lot and think it’s a really good tank by far one of my favorite

I don't play war thunder for the sake of my wallet, and my sanity. But from video analysis, I believe that the Japan tech tree really starts to get going on the half way point during and after the American vehicle wave. Type 61 is a good glass cannon. Spaa really turns up. And the type 74 hits hard with the suspension, decent reload, and it's modified L7 royal ordinance cannon. It doesn't look like one, trust me I was also confused when I first saw the breech from an IRL example.

I wish Japan was better. I'd love to make them my main...it's probably good for people who want to get end game fast sense the tech tree is so small?
I honestly find the Japanese tree the most fun.
Instead of relying on armor like the big three.
They rely on their gun, stealth capabilities (even tho they have some of the loudest engines for absolutely no reason) and their rank 4 tanks have heat and really good heat at that and since getting to the type 90 I can safely say the 4.0 second autoloader is absolutely busted. (I don't think anything at the teir or higher have a faster reload I'm not sure tho)

I played the Japanese tech tree but only got to rank 2 for now because it really tortured me. I don't want to touch it again before I buy the TYPE 16 FPS.
Japanese tech isn't bad compared to the British tech tree. Gaijin hates british tech tree LOL😂
Low tier japan is really not that bad, you've got the japanese 47mm that is actually very potent and the chi ha LG, then you get the chi-nu and the chi-tos that are amazing and after that rank 4 japan at 6.7 is probably the best line up in the whole tree. The rest's pretty good too

Not sure who was on crack and told you, japan is the worst tech tree. Aviation is very strong, maybe in the higher tiers a bit lack luster, the tanks are the ultimate daka machines in top tier, high tier very versitile, low tier good guns.
