10 How to mirror geometry using Cinema 4D

    In this part I will show how to mirror your geometry using mirror tool in Cinema 4D. Using this technique while modeling symmetrical objects allows you to keep your focus at one single side of your model.

    care to show how you merge the two objects together ? after merging, the points should automatically be welded together. I come from XSI background and I'm trying to find this in C4D.

    Tried this with a object that was in a deformer and it didn't really work. I think its as the center point is somewhere stupid. Is there a way to change the center point?

      This is a shitty practise, because it takes a lot of time. The concept of mirroring is having an inverted (unmodifiable) copy of the original model. The reason why it is umodifiable is because it follows every change you make on the original model, so you don't have to actually mess with it. If everyone did what you suggested, it would be annoying, because you would always have to make changes to both models, or do the same thing over and over again "duplicate, -100 x axis... duplicate, -100x axis..."
