The radio has ruined countless great songs for me. Radio really is the problem. They play the same 12 songs over and over and over and over and over...
It's what normies want. They all have to be bland and generic too and not about anything but partying, relationships, and sex. And if the genre is hip-hop, some drug references are acceptable. No other topics.

@@benjaminwatt2436Dance music is gonna make a comeback I think. If it's true rap is dying then dance music should lead the way until something new overtakes. It's always been the case that they bridge the gaps of new scenes like disco, then the swing revival, pop, R&B, EDM.

@@benjaminwatt2436 I think it has more to do with the actual act of dancing to the music. Any music that can get people moving will always be popular and will make a comback. Even now, although dance clubs aren't as huge anymore, tiktok dancing is insanely popular.

THIS. Not only rockers dislike pop as a genre. They absolutely hate rock/metal with catchy choruses, good vocal melodies and pop song structures. Bad songwriting is why rock is not popular now.
I think it is all 80's punks and thrashers' fault. Prior to them all rock and metal were seen as a part of pop culture.
Paradise City was the song that made me rocker in the first place, when I heard it on Burnout : Paradise soundtrack. I could hear it 100 times a day and not get tired of it.

When Garza was talking about playing metal on a jukebox it reminded me of the time about 10-15 years ago when I first encountered one of those digital jukeboxes that can play pretty much any song. I played The Heretic Anthem by Slipknot in one of those open kitchen style diners off the interstate in West Virginia, to this day it cracks me up thinking about the reactions people had. There was a bunch of locals, truckers and elderly people just trying to enjoy some food and then boom, Slipknot graces their ears for probably the first time ever! I will say, there was one dude working the grill that was vibing out to it and mouthing the lyrics. Shout out to that lone metal head cook in WV! 🤣

No joke, Rebecca Black is apparently still relevant. I went to a festival last year and she was there at one of the stages. Playing late in the day and brought in a crowd. I was honestly shocked.

For me its gotta be Hells Bells by AC/DC, only because when I used to listen to the radio back in the day every classic rock or metal station would play it and the intro sounds very similar to For Whom the Bell Tolls and I'd get excited, only to be let down cause it wasn't Metallica

The guys in lit are are definitely pretty cool guys. We opened up for them in our hometown Jacksonville Florida back in the late 90s early 2000s whenever it was and they were probably one of the cooler bands we’ve ever hung out with

You Give Love a Bad Name by Bon Jovi is an automatic channel turner for me. We got to listen to the radio during lunch hour when I was in high school, and I heard it about 100 straight days.
I'm from Eastern Kentucky and when I was around 15, the lone punk kid of my town, we would have a little concert with some local famous bands. A group named Halfway 2 Hazard. Well, my family would always go. LIT was there playing at midnight. I seen LIT play in a literal holler in Kentucky and it was aamzing. I was the only person that knew who they were sadly. You can find the video online. Look up Crockettsville LIT Kentucky or something.
I would say anything Guns n Roses, Journey’s “Dont Stop Believing”, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”, Drowning Pool “Bodies”, and Disturbed’s “Down with the Sickness”. There are others but if I had a magic power to eliminate songs from history, definitely these.

In college, one of the sororities or something was putting on a battle of the bands. My friends and I decided to get pretty drunk (we were freshman) and play My Own Worst Enemy. Last minute, the people putting it on decided to have everyone do three songs instead of one because they didn’t have enough entrants. We considered just doing the same song three times since we were already not taking it seriously
I would just put Walmart, mall, grocery store music. If you work retail you hear the same damn songs in the same order at the same times every single fucking day.

Mine is most classic rock songs honestly, at least the ones that play on the radio a lot. All these amazing bands spanning 30+ years and i swear they always played the same 40 or 50 songs. They're great songs for the most part but if i hear back in black for example, i instantly want to turn it off
