- Johnny Depp is the most polite and sweet actor I have ever interviewed. So incredibly present, so warm, so attentive, so humble. He stood up to greet me when I entered the room, and he did the same when I left. Just wanted to share this interview I did with him back in 2014.

Johnny is so genuine, he actually looks people in the eyes after and while he's signing autographs. It's not just some chore that he does as part of his celebrity status... he gives fans his respect and appreciation.
yes, I concur - look at his eyes (in awe and appreciative that someone would actually gift him specially crafted hand made gift, none of that "I am so famous to deserve to be given gifts" attitude) as interviewer informed him her friend has c/o his gift - a dream catcher - so true "our eyes are the souls to our hearts".
And him being of a shy nature (even said it in an interview) makes it even more revealing how much time he dedicates to his fans

I get never tire at looking at those eyes, Wow, and I'm not a gaga girl.
He gets a compliment and what does he do? He starts complimenting and praising all his co-stars. The dude is a gem. Breaks my heart to see what he's gone through.

Most shy person have social anxiety and can be akward when trying to communicate with stranger even they are very intelligent or very talented person. Yes in Johny Depp i still can see thats kind of vibe but his experiences maybe make him more calm and relax so its look like he is natural even his speaking sound a bit nervous.
Agreed as I am a very shy person myself . So it takes alot for me to open up to strangers. But once I have started can't get me to stop . So I am sure many people like me can relate to that tooo . Mm

i’ve always loved him for being an amazing entertainer. even while dealing with a hard time at trial, he still tries to make people smile and being kind. i hope he could come back soon and make more amazing movies for us.

Johnny is just a nice man. He looks people in their eyes as if he’s actually listening to them and caring about what they say.
Oh man, I caught that too. When she was handing him his gift and she was explaining to him what it was, he wasn’t even focusing on what he was getting, he was looking her in the eyes and focusing on what she was saying. He’s so polite and genuine. I can’t even believe it.

I could not love this interview more! I was very young when I became struck by Johnny Depp’s undeniable good looks on the screen of 21 Jump Street. My affections for Johnny continued to grow when he played the vulnerable, shy, and lovable character of Edward Scissor Hands. Not being much of a pop-culture follower myself, my opinion of Johnny Depp has always been positive with a deep appreciation for his work as an actor. It wasn’t until recent accusations came to light, that I’ve really taken an interest in who Johnny Depp actually is as a person. After many hours of research, I can’t help but feel that the real life persona of Johhny is much more like the Scissorhands character that captured mine and America’s emotions so many years ago. I would love to be the one to write his biography, and explore the impossibility of how such a wonderful and lovable human being found himself down the rabbit hole he’s swallowed up in. Good luck Johnny! I hope your truth is told the way you want it to be and you receive the love and peace you deserve.

I as a survivor myself toooo could understand what that would have been like . My ex was both verbally and emotionally abusive. Glad I was able to get away as otherwise don't know if would be alive today . Justice ⚖ for johnny. Mm
Johnny is so genuine and he cares about his fans so much that he calls them relatives. He even looks people in the eyes when he is talking to them, even while signing autographs. He is just a complete gem. It breaks my heart to see what he has gone through. Protect Johnny at all costs.

I don't know what the truth is in all this but wow do his eyes seem to light up with a genuine appreciation for the dream catcher at the end. A favourite actor from my childhood (though I was never obsessed with him) and seems to just be... so genuine at heart. No, not perfect. But genuine, humble & warm.

Except for Johnny being UNHUMANLY kind soul, the interviewer is actually sincere and with that healthy and honest curiosity which indicates both intelligence and true kindness and awareness for the person standing in front... Real conversation. Just like that... for a change once in a while other journalists should try being honestly involved, too. :)

I love how Johnny Depp is always honest but when she told him about what the others say: "Cool, mysterious, magical and a little off" I love how he commented on the "little off" thing but I kind of felt a sadness when he said he didn't see Mysterious or Magical in himself.

Seriously, I am always drawn towards the conversation she has with the actors. It never feels like a Q&A session, but just a casual catchup with an old friend and you can hear it in their voice as well.
