- The ending to the NES classic Ninja Gaiden.
Since a lot of people have been asking. No I did not complete this fairly. This was completed on emulator using game genie and save states. Remember, the point of this was to record the ending, not "beat the game". Anyway, please sit back and enjoy. - Hry
I remember beating this game with my friend for the first time. When we finally got to the final boss, lost, and got sent back to 6-1, we decided not to turn the NES of until we beat it. Every night we would spend an hour getting to the final boss and would loose. After day 6 the game finally froze, so we started over, and then when back to level 6-1 we did the same thing, Keep the game on, and each night try. 8 days later, we finally won, and damn was it worth it. We were so exited. Good times.
Some of my personal best memories are staying up late nights trying to beat Nintendo games. Just my dark bed room and cans of soda.
I know the feeling cause I made it! Took my 2 hours but have played the game many times before, it's one of the best endings in history
I remember my friend beating this back in 1989
I had the same kind of feeling back in -13. Literally played the game non-stop for 2 weeks until I finished it. Even my parents were proud for the determination. :D
I love how they basically said "see that ninja there that single handedly killed a dragon with a ninja sword? Kill him. You must do what the ancient evil dragon failed to do."
That's not a dragon
"I don't even know your name" (after kissing her)
This is the perfect ending. This is the great ending I expect after beating any game.
What a great game.
Irene: Ryu? What is the payment you have already received?
Ryu: She's right in front of me.
"Wake up Father, wake up. You have to hear this awesome music that's playing right now!"
I just beat this game like a couple minutes ago. Man does it feel great to finally beat this game I recently have just started playing this game again and their were days where my frustration was through the roof with game then they were days where I was so close to beating his final form but he killed me with like 1 bar of life left but today I finally beat him and what joy I felt after 23 years of playing this game I get to see the ending and the satisfaction of beating the game. :D I've already beaten Ninja Gaiden 2 last year and just beat it recently again now onto Ninja Gaiden 3.
So there's actually an ending? Through 20+ years, I never knew it existed!! LOL
That music. Beautiful.
Some of the most beautiful and best music you will ever hear!!
+jgfjgfify Congrats
"Ryu, what is the payment you already received?" :o
"She's right in front of me." :X
:'D
That scene was so cute, wasn't it?
Awwwww
this is basically an arrangement of Romeo & Juliet "A Time for Us", composed by Nino Rota.
Yep, I knew I had heard this song before. It was from a music box of my mother's. Didn't realize it at first but then I knew I had heard it. Thanks for letting me know what it was called!
+redtails many many thanks for your comment, i was thinking that i was the only one to ever noticed
I noticed, too. But I didn't know the name X3
Very nicely done!!!
What part?
2:49 to 3:42 is one of the greatest pieces of music I ever heard! 😅😅😁😁😄😄
100%
Kenrick Eason don’t leave out 3:44 to the end
Absolutely agreed 100%! Would use the sound test cheat I discovered years after first playing the game just to listen to this song!
Epic. It was rare to get a worthwhile ending to a game on the NES, but this is certainly one of them. Got me so psyched for the next game!
irene's smile was cute. also: a grade of A to the music!
this is soo sad.. i cried :'(
I believe this may be the best ending on the NES. Some others stand out, but this is the one that really stands out to me. Any I might've missed as a kid?
Jeremy Lott double dragon 2 has a great ending
I don't even recall playing this when I was younger, and this scene still brings a tear to my eye.
The music when Ryu and Irene kiss always bring tears to my eyes.
8-bit epicness
just had this song stuck in my head. thanks.
Berzerk sent us here...
I have deep respect for this game.....
These were some of the most thrilling completions of my youth (Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2). But I never beat Ninja Gaiden 3. That game was so, so hard.
I beat this game as a 9 year old. It prob took me weeks to clear the final boss. It was brutal. But the completing the journey kept me going.
Ninja Gaiden and endings with sunsets. Name a more iconic duo.
Ha!, the memories!, last time I saw this was... 20-something years ago at home on my old NES, I beat this game the old fashion way, with sore thumbs. Thank you for posting!
Here because of Berzerk Studio :( R.I.P.
Thanks for tor the video. Always wanted to see the final scene of this very difficult game.
I would never get with someone who shot me
This game is pretty hard. However, I stuck with it for a while, rested when I got frustrated and finally beat it. I never gave up or said I couldn't do it. I had such an adrenaline rush when that last boss had just a few bars of health left. When he died, I threw my hands in the air and screamed with victory. Such a good feeling. :)
I think this was appraised as the best ending of it's time on the NES. : )
My childhood... Is coming back T_T
I'm proud to say that I just finished this game (without save states, I finished it in its total difficulty), after long hours of frustrating fails, suffering and hard work, when you do it (and you get this fantastic cutscene) you realize that is one of the best games ever made.
The cutscenes, the music, and the gameplay was too ahead of its time.
This games teach you to never give up, to always face the challenges by hard they could be and to use the brain.
Awesome ending for way back when. I used to love this game when i was a kid. Im playin Ninja Gaiden 2 on 360 now and its dope to see the progress these guys made and to see how some of the story line is still connetcted.
Ryu: so this was your plan all along...I'll get you for this foster :)
^(Ryu's pretty happy about that)
That damn level with the platforms and the flying ninja tossing projectiles...dude...still have nightmares with that level...I wake up screaming, not 6-2, not 6-2 again!
"Sea Swallow"? Awesome!!
"Thank you for playing and see you next. Tecmo" I laughed so hard at that.
When they had time to fall in love?
I always wondered about that, myself.
shes right in front of me.
hahaha that killed me XD a satisfying conclusion to one of the hardest games on the console.
Awesome ending, bro!
Wait, he made out with her and didn’t even know her name…RYU IS THE MAN!
Wow, finally some closure in my life! I've always dominated at this game till the very end. It's awesome to finally see what happens. As pathetic as it sounds, I always vowed that I'd never play 2 or 3 till I beat 1 and have kept it to this day.
Have you beaten the 1st game yet?
@@RoopeRontu1999 lol 16 years later and still no 😂
@@sonuvabix Ouch. Best of luck, then, mate. :D
@@RoopeRontu1999 haha thanks brother ✊🏻
Thank you for playing, and see you next.
I've seen this somewhere before, it was on my NES!
The single most satisfying gaming experience of my life, took me 20 years.
Best game music eveeeeeer!!!! Especially the main them ending when you're in the mine shaft :D
To be fair, endings this good were a real gem then as well. It just goes to show that overall game designers haven't progressed much in that respect since then.
Thank you for playing.
And see you next.
beautiful excellent job
simplementee es lo mejor.....felicidades ,hermano+
that's some genius composition of music
It took forever, but when I beat this game I felt like I can beat any game. I am going to say this right now very few games have the ability to make a me feel that way. It took me years to beat this and while I knew the ending was on the net I never did want to see it because it would take that satisfaction away from me. Beating this game on the nes felt good seeing the ending on my tv, and now I can look back and say yeah I beat NG it took many years yes, but I did it.
I've come to terms that i'll probably never beat this game, so here I am. lol
This was the first game I ever beat that had a good ending. My mind was blown, the awesome feeling beating this hard ass game and getting a killer ending. Loved the end shot with the two of them and the sun rising...BEST VIDEO GAME ENDING EVER!
i finally beat this game, i can't believe i made it, yeah, was one of the hardest, and one of the best games i have ever played in my life. I love the NES, so much hapiness. yeah, old times, why? why this beautiful games does not exist anymore? i will ever miss the old days
While I like the ending, can we just appreciate the fact that there is absolutely nothing in the course of the game's story to suggest that there's supposed to be a budding relationship between Ryu and Irene until literally the last seconds of the game when Ryu *without even knowing her name* kisses her? Irene freakin' *SHOT* Ryu the first time they met, then shoved a statue in his face and told him to run. And that was it until Ryu just happened to find her kidnapped in Jacquio's castle. He wasn't even there for her, he just happened to find her there.
I really like this couple, but dang the story of their relationship is one of the most unlikely stories you'll ever encounter in all of video gaming.
Ryu x Irene were one of the very first couples I ever became obsessed with, and this ending played a huge part in why. After that came Zero & Iris from Megaman X, then Heero & Relena from Gundam Wing, Rick Hunter & Lisa Hayes from Robotech, Sailor Moon & Tuxedo Mask, the list goes on. It is basically the beginning of me becoming a huge shipping freak and I give Ryu x Irene and Zero x Iris a lot of the credit for that.
I played this game for days on end back in the day. Great memories.
tune by the beginning had been on my head for so many years, and just keeps on playing , since this game was out and I beat it, when I was like 8, back in 1988. one of my fav ever, ng 2 was even better.
Great ending
4:43 the best part when the beat drops
This game is absoluty mega fantastic.
@GreatGarloo you and me both brother. I beat the first two Ninja Gaiden games when I was young around 10 or so. Didn't know they had a 3rd one until I saw it on Virtual Console... straight download! Ancient Ship of Doom is by far the toughest of the three. In fact, just last week, I made it to stage 7! Waiting for the right time to try to finish it since I'm on my last continue or two. Ninja Gaiden to this day remains tough to beat even the new ones
best game ever for the nes , story wise , dialogs and ending
FOSTER: "Good job now kill Ryu and steal the Demon Statues"
IRENE: "Excuse me sir, but HOW THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THAT"
FOSTER: "You have a gun right"
IRENE: "HE KILLED A GIANT BAT WINGED DEMON THAT KEPT SPITTING ACID AFTER ITS HEAD WAS CHOPPED OFF USING NOTHING BUT A REALLY LONG KNIFE"
FOSTER: "...Dang"
One of the best games i ever played
I remember beating this game and getting this ending which was beyond awesome!
I had a real sense of accomplishment beating this game because it was hard.
This game has some of the best and most emotional music I have ever heard in a video game. I freaked the first time I finished this game.
One of the keys to beating Jaqiou before you face the evil alien-looking demon monster is to let his fireball hone in on you before moving out of the way. Another key is patience. Patience and more patience.
Man, the music from this game brings back good memories. I passed this game when I was 11. The only witness present was my dad who was waiting for me to get off the damn TV so he could watch baseball. He said he was glad Ryu got a piece of Irene after all the crap had been through.
i never could beat this game because i always went for the guy walking around not the nose lol only now do i see where i made my mistake it was always easy getting to that part where you kill the nose but i could never pass it. thanks for having this up i now know what to do if i ever find this game again and a nes to play it on .
Irene & Ryu are the cutest couple ever!
They sure are
This is great. This was state of the art Graphics at the time complete with long dialog and drama. Better than a puny 10 second 3D FMV for an ending like a lot of games today.
Awesome!!!
This game game is a rollercoaster of emotions for a ten year old. Rage, anger, apathy , frustration , hate and loathing.
Oh, and satisfaction.
once of the games cinematic wise for a game to date
Wow someone was actually able to beat this game. Impressive
I hate this ending, mainly because they played some cruel tricks:
-Reveal that Ryu's dad is not dead, but alive after Stage 5
-Reveal that Ryu's dad is not only alive, but the first Final boss after Stage 6
-Ryu's dad dies after the battle.
Why would they have him dead to start off, then bring him back, only to kill him off? What a twist! Great game, though. So happy to have finally beat this legit.
Jes!! I made it to the end with no helps or gimmics!! About 15 yers old girl back then.. I was so obsessed with this.. as I recall the last stage was so difficult, especially one jump .. but I made it through!! The ending was worth it, so romantic I even cried. Glad to hear its considered difficult :) But you can make it, at least if you are obsessed :D
Oh god.... I remember beating this game when I was a little kid. So many memories, how old was I.... around 6-7 ? Anyway, great game, I'll never forget it :)
I remember when I saw Ryu x Irene kiss for the first time, it really set off something in me. After that came Zero & Iris, from Megaman X4, then Heero x Relena from Gundam Wing, Sailor Moon x Tuxedo Mask, it was then that I had just turned into an all out shipping freak.
This one and the one on the first Xbox are the best in my opinion. :)
It was on the virtual console on the Wii. It wasn't on an actual NES, but it was basically the same because you couldn't use save states or the Game Genie. I still had to deal with crap like going back to 6-1 when dying on the boss.
ah the good old days :one system tons of good games and one of my top 50 games of all time Ninja Gaiden . I was in the 8th grade when I beat this game.
epic game,epic music
Great video game i enjoy a lot it
3:43 and then a random bird knocked them off. Cue life lost music.
This is Genius...music
I found my nes in a box last week. I hooked it up and played ninja gaiden.
My older brother got a nes when he was a child. :P And I started to play it again some weeks ago, and i though it was fun.. So I buyed some more games to it. And Ninja Gaiden was one of them. xD But its calld Shadow Warriors in Europe.
Best nintendo game ending ever? no wonder it was so hard. Talk about a feeling of accomplishment.
This game made me cry when I first beat it at the age of 5.
Lol at the ending text,
Thank you for playing.
And see you next.
Bad translation?
I'm sure it meant to say "See you next time." :P
you know what boggles my mind more than the Castlevania ish ending?
its the concept that the heroes ALWAYS have enough time to see said dwelling of doom from afar and see it splody.
I am extremely fucking impressed that you beat this game.
Amen to that, Baron of Bacon. Amen to that.
The "Real" Ninja Gaiden. Old school FTW.
Pretty epic cutscenes for a game of that generation.
I beat it when I was 7... does that make me weird?
This game had great game play and not only that but a good story. Lending from Star Wars made you believe his father was died. And doing the samething Vader did for Luke "self sacrifice".
Gave me good childhood memories.
best game ending music EVAR
WAY TO BEAT THE GIANT SHRIMP, Ryu!
