As a left handed drummer who plays full left handed, playing a mirrored setup is a fundamentally important skill to be able to sit down at someone else’s kit and not be completely lost. It’s also massively improved the coordination and independence of my feet. Even though right handed drummers will not [with few exceptions] ever need to play on a left handed kit, I highly recommend trying to benefit from the same foot coordination and independence. Not to mention it’s a fun and unique challenge that’s the art equivalent of a tongue twister
That was so cool Max! Reminds me of the time I had my foot operation (right foot) and couldn't cancel my gig. It was quite a challenge to play the kick with left! Awesome stuff Max!
I think you rocked the challenge Max!! I think the kick with the left would be no problem since I always use that when I am driving!! the left hand on the ride would of been hard cause that is more like open handed playing. Sounded great and really well played too!!
*Hi))) I’m glad to see you man again, and the quality of the video and sound is much better since I saw your videos a year, or maybe two ago))) You're done, good luck to you!* 😊👏👍✌
Awesome job Max🥁❤️👌This is very difficult to do for me, sometimes I use my left kick peddle to just practice some independence but it usually turns out to be a mess🥴I’m getting better at it though 😁
Awesome cover Maximilliam! Impressive doing it on a left handed set up! Your drums sounds amazing!! Do you use any samples on the drums or are they all natural sound??
Hey thank you so very very much, Alexander! I appreciate that! Yes - I have blended in maybe 20-30% samples from my own drumset, the bass drum is currently missing two bass drum lugs that broke off and one of the snare mics was distorting 'cause I had used it differently just a few hours before haha! I played the song once for practice and then did this one first take and kept it, moved everything back around.. Only to realize! So yes - I have sampled with my own drums a little bit!
Maximiliam Andersson Nice!! Sounds awesome! Your passion and hard work clearly shows on your videos and your channel is growing! Keep it up man! You’re awesome! 👍👍
love so much this video. like the video is the best. As we develop day by day, Always follow your luck I sincerely hope that your channel will be very big. 좋은영상 감사히 잘 보고갑니다. 하루하루노력하셔서 점점 발전되시어 초대형유투버가 되시기를 진심으로 힘껏 응원 하겠습니다.
I actually use three! One bottom, two top. I like two top because I can use them for different purposes in mixing, compressing one more than the other, have one focus on attack or body or punch or whatever. One is a dynamic mic and the other a condenser.
Can you make a cover and transcription "Reckless Abandon" by blink-182? This song has so good grooves and fills. Btw, I m still waiting for 6/8 blink-182 😂
Hey guys, Hope you enjoyed this challenge!
This idea was born during my Twitch live streams. Come join me live!

I don't know that song, I'd have to look into it!

Absolutely agree, Spencer! I've actually had to play a lefty kit a couple of times being asked to sit in at small gigs, haha! That was tricky.
A very noble effort Max and for the most part, a very solid job.
Thank you, Sal! A bit wobbly in time, but whatever haha!
That was so cool Max! Reminds me of the time I had my foot operation (right foot) and couldn't cancel my gig. It was quite a challenge to play the kick with left! Awesome stuff Max!
Ahhh! Right! Yes - it sure is! But a thing that's great to be able to do for sure!
Thank you!

Absolutely brilliant. For some reason i’ve always underestimated covers, but this is just amazing.
I think covers are a great way to learn depending on how you do them hehe!

Haha, alright! Nice! I think left on kick would also be easier for anyone used to playing double bass hehe
Quality sounds a lot better! Great cover! You´re awesome!
Angel! Thank you so very much! That's great to hear!

Awesome bro!! Great song choice!! I play left handed with open hands on a right handed set up. So you’re playing how I play sort of haha 🥁🎶✌️☺️
That's awesome! Open handed is killer.

Wish I was!
Great!
Why are you using two microphones for the snare drum?
I actually use three! One bottom, two top. I like two top because I can use them for different purposes in mixing, compressing one more than the other, have one focus on attack or body or punch or whatever. One is a dynamic mic and the other a condenser.

SO many awesome blink tunes to play and transcribe, haha! Man.... Gotta get on with it haha!
Nice job! But can you also try doing Death In Fire by Amon Amarth?
I'll have to check it out, don't know that song!
Becoming left handed for a day
Haha! Pretty much!
Great grooving bro!, 👋🎶👍\○⊙○/
Brett!! Thank you very much!
isnt it cheating to use your right hand for the hat.. not really mirroring ... just saying
The kit is per definition mirrored. :) How I play it has nothing to do with whether the kit is mirrored or not.
