Ep.4 : This week’s episode of The Unit is titled, ‘Tears of a True Friend. A friend who had dreamt together with Hyuna as a young trainee, Joo gets on the stage which makes Hyuna become surged up with emotions. Hyuna roots for Joo as she watches her perform in full of joy. Hotshot’s Timoteo tells a story of his friendship with Taemin after he gives his performance. Taemin who has been remaining calm eventually bursts out tears. Meanwhile, Marco from H.B.Y captivates everyone with his outstanding talent and unique charms.

I feel so bad for Timoteo. Both of his friends are so successful, Kai and Taemin. His members, Sungwoon and Taehyun recently found success. Sungwoon is in Wanna One and Taehyun is in JBJ. I really hope he can be successful like his friends and members. 😭

Crystal Ginger It was so emotional, you could actually see how much they meant to each other for a long time specially when they were there for rough and painful times. Loved that moment but not in a bad way just really could see their Taemins feelings and that creates more genuine connection with us the audience.

I loved the fact that they edited the girl who "Lip synched" they way they did, it helps show that media can cut and edit thing in such a way only used certain pieces of evidence for their lie. It also shows how we must see all evidence and sides to the story before judging, because I was even just about to comment about her but I see it all now.

The Ark was supposed to be the girl version on BTS during their debut (they covered BTS’ songs and BTS actually reacted to one of their covers and were impressed) but despite having talented members, they had to disband because of the company (based on the articles that I’ve read) so if they were just in a good company, they could’ve been successful by now because there weren’t much hip-hop girl groups then- most were doing the aegyo concept :(h

they weren't really a hip-hop group though, they were actually more well-balanced than most groups - two great rappers (who could sing), two great vocalists, one vocalist/rapper, all great dancers, could pull off a lot of concepts

I think Rain is a nice sunbae. As a judge, he doesn't "judge" them. I mean, he is constructive. He isn't out to crush people or use some warped reverse psychology on the contestants. And he empathises.

Euna x Suji moments. I'm hella excited that they reunited on the show and they got the chance to train together! Bless Rain for making them be on the same team!! Seeing the two of them together again just honestly makes me so happy as a fan. :) #Multifandom I already knew about Euna Kim being on the show, but after I heard that Suji was also gonna participate. My first wish was for them to have an interaction on the show and I'm glad it became true! Also thanks KBS for broadcasting, editing, and uploading 'The Unit' on CZcams! Even though it may take a while for them to upload. It's alright since they supply us English subs!! Plus when they upload episodes it's not too drastically delayed from they're originally aired on TV in Korea. Thank you KBS for not doing evil editing like Mnet does with every of their shows! attempted suicide isn't a reason to be considered an idol, they may have seen it as some type of manipulation besides his lack of confidence in his solo dance, he is good in what he does but he needs more time and even if possible seek help about his thoughts.

From my perspective, I think she’s trying to say that the idol industry and desperation to become successful is harsh. Even if you train for years on end 24/7 there’s no guarantee that you will become successful and the idol industry can do a lot of bad things to you. It’s a harsh industry. After debuting for many years without seeing any success and putting decades into this career, it’s terrifying.
I don’t think she was trying to say that he should’ve been picked because he used to have suicidal thoughts ^^;
I may be slightly biased though, because I do love Boys Republic. Minsu is truly talented and I’m very sad that he had lost so much hope. I am sad that many of the idols here also were not able to show their talents off very well. I wish the industry is fair but sadly the industry is biased and can’t handle the amount of idols there are today :(

I'm sure the members of The Ark are not getting any consent of the disbanding? Euna literally said there was no reason for the disbanding and they were told to disband. I guess the company can't afford the group or just not very supportive? Suji cried everytime The Ark was discussed, I bet they're still sad about the disbandment. Argh I still cant accept the fact that there is no The Ark anymoree. We are yet to see their talent smh. (And there is no explaination at all regarding the disbandment okay I'm angry kbye)

Rewatching this again and it must've been difficult for Rain, Hyuna, and San E to see and have to judge Joo, given that they were all in JYP at some point and have known her for years. Notice how they didn't even bother being formal in addressing her as Joo-ssi like everyone else. They called her "unnie" or "Minjoo-yang," indicating their closeness to her.
