They are one disgraceful referee handball decision away.
Chillaz bro
You are a mid table team
1 clinical striker away..
precisely
Fact
Ye An the rest....defensively crap, and no real experience leaders, big personalities to galvanize a team and game manage in the tough games or closing out a lead. Similar to Utd. Without Palmer also you lack creativity around the box.
This analysis isn’t accurate. Majority of Chelsea loses have come because the attackers haven’t scored at crucial times sometimes.
@@nayden5834 they have leaders just to many players and not enough strikers imo
Currently, domestic final losing to the winners, domestic semi-final losing to the presumed winners, 3 points off 6th with a game in hand...For a team that's a complete mess, lots of flux around the clubs backroom, players who are inconsistent with age and skill, key injuries all year, manager who's not really working fully, I'd argue Chelsea are just consistency and 1-2 changes in key positions from being ready to push more than rival fans will like to admit.
I don't see how this opinion isn't more popular. They're in a rough patch, a rebuilding period and have still been pretty close to silverware. The idea they're nowhere near, as many are saying is ridiculous.
Only 1 or 2 changes 😂😂 Cold Palmer Chelsea I can say.
@@iamjimb Because people overvalue Roman's Chelsea, people treat Roman's Chelsea like we were 1st or 2nd every year and winning the big 3 (League, Champions League, FA cup) every year, when in reality Romans first half of his tenure was winning those 3 regularly, the second half was winning secondary competitions like Europa more, so anything less than winning a trophy every year like Roman did is seen as failure regardless of the circumstances. Football fans don't like talking about context and nuance, it's all about headline stories and "banter" regardless if it's correct or not.
You still think that after the punishment from Arsenal?😂
@@masonspaulding6278 Arsenal are the second best team in the league after 4 years of planned and structured development, why would a loss to them change anything I've said above considering the state of the club currently but the signs of direction there have been over the season?
People really need to realise the magnitude of the players missing from this squad. Reece, Lavia, Fofana, Nkunku, Ogochukwu have been out the entire season. Chukwuemeka, Chalobah, Chilwell, Badiashile have been on and off (mostly off). Enzo has been playing with painkillers and is considering surgery. Poch hasn´t really had the chance to form a starting eleven and playing style. If all of these players are fully fit next season, it will show the actual potential of this project/rebuild.
Even if they were all fit, it’s not ‘working’ for me.
"Enzo has been playing with pain killers" what are we even doing here ? We're tenth and after almost a whole season we've seen no influence from Poch, I'm worried if you think only injuries are setting this club back
Yes. That is why Chelsea is a mid table team now
@@user-zm9xf7mo4p I´m definitely not saying injuries is the only thing off at this club - they lack experience, unity and understanding what it means to play for Chelsea. But pundits constantly throwing around "they´ve spend a billion and nothing has changed" is simply ignorant. I firmly believe the true potential of this squad is yet to be revealed.
Poch needs to go he is not a Coach for a rebuilding process!
Closer than most people would like to admit. Everyone completely ignores the fact our club captain, £75 million CB, best forward and best LB have missed basically the entire season. Add in the multitude of other injuries, the fact the squad is so young and new and yet we still have been competitive in every game against the top sides (maybe not Liverpool away) and got deep into both cup competitions. Bit more luck and a bit more consistency and we would be pushing top 4 easily
You just got destroyed by Arsenal 😂
@@masonspaulding6278 yeah we got pumped. Is anyone surprised we lost though? Arsenal have 1 injury in their entire squad to a defender and that’s it. Our team today was missing gusto, James, fofana, colwill, chilwell, palmer, nkunku, lavia, Sanchez, ugochukwu. The vast majority of those are starters. Still unacceptable to lose 5-0 but that injury list would affect any team in the league. Still should be able to keep the score respectable though, 5-0 is a joke.
@@Graziak5 other than palmer you didn’t mention one player that would walk in to Man City,Arsenal, liverpool,Bayern,Real Madrid team……so if you are saying you pin your hopes on them then god help Chelsea!
One disallowed handball/penalty away...
It doesn't matter how Chelsea played. The result shows everything.
Not far off just need a good summer to make some changes
FA Semi, League Cup final and PL (they have been scoring goals for fun if only the defense is as good as their attack). Also brand new set of players playing first season for this club. I think this is not bad.
And yet you just got destroyed by arsenal
Natural finisher? ,finishing is practiced, all forwad players should be able to finish
i think chelsea are 2 seasons away from winning a trophy .
Next season they will get relegated
season after they will finally get there hands on a trophy "championship"
Their best finisher is injured all season, Christopher Nkunku.
Without experienced Leaders and Winners years away...
I don't know who this guy is but, he really nailed it. Very spot on 👌👌👌
Halfway through next season we will know if they are capable of competing for trophies. If they progress and are in the top half throughout the season we will can see them as real threat by the 25/26 season
Its squad creation
The idea was not to have a big squad of player we dont use (aubameyang and lukaku)
And wasnt able (ffp) to add a 9 last summer with a big investment needed in midfield and defense.
The idea
Sterling nkunku
Silva, chillwell and james
Was going to provide a core to build around.
As for comparing to last season, there is very few playees who been here even 18 months..
Mudryk, madueke, palmer, jackson, enzo, caicedo, gusto, disasi, colwill, sanchez/petrovic are less then 1.5 year in the club
With Poch „PE teacher” in charge it’s mission impossible
Utter tosh...
The players have let him down more than he has let the team down
If only we had a potent striker up front we would have won probably the Carabao cup if not the FA cup, Nkunku should be our number going forward in case we didn't sign any striker
Two quality centre backs, a quality left winger, a quality striker and a better goalkeeper. That’s how far and even then it’s not a guarantee. I’d say minimum 5 years because while we’re building so is everyone else and we’re currently a long way behind.
a player of Drogba's caliber and a younger version of Silva
next season this team would have had 12 months to "gel" - anyone that's played football will know it easier to play with friends than it is strangers
hate to say it, but if Poch sorts those 2 positions out, Chelsea are going to be up there at least
3/4 years plus they need a topclass striker which are hard to come by watkins is at villa he wont move ,so toney or solanke ,oh buy oshiemen off napoli for 100mil
As long it’s takes to get a decent centre-forward. With a Didier Drogba up front Chelsea would have beaten both Liverpool in the LC final and City in the FA Cup semi-final.
How far away are Chelsea from contending for trophies? Well they made it to one final, and a semi-final which they should have won. Is that not considered contending any more? I mean, technically the teams playing in the preliminary rounds of the FA Cup are contending for a trophy, but Chelsea (and I am NOT a Chelsea fan) have been pretty damn close in two of the three domestic trophies this year...
The Poch fan club beating the drum again!
With pochettino minimum 6 years like tottenham experience
Closer than the likes of Tottenham and Newcastle…
Simple answer, the players are not good enough yet and Manager's tactical knowledge to maximize their potential is lacking.
Imagine if we had thierry Henry up front
As a utd fan id sadly admit they are ahead of us
What is odd to me is that Chelsea have such a big squad of more than 30 players and this is still not include the players on loan. With a full combined squad they are at least 53 players strong. But they have so many injuries despite playing less games than the top 8 teams (as they are not playing any European games). Just for comparison the City team only have 23 players and they were just returning after playing 120 minutes + penalties against Madrid with less than 3 days to prepare but they only have less than 3 injuries. While Chelsea have at least a week to prepare for each game. I definitely blame Poch bizarre training regiment for this and whoever made us pay 100 million pounds for Caicedo should be criminalize.
Light years
Poch will win a major trophy with Chelsea next season. They will be Manchester Citys main Challangers within 3 seasons..
Sorry...but whaaaaat?! 😂😂😂😂
It shall never be well with anyone that is here to defend Jackson and pochetino
Jackson need one more season to create a different or else chelsea get rid of him by the end of next season
I say 6ft depending on how tall Jackson is
We are unfortunately very far. Because we have a coward as a striker who wets himself everytime he is through 1 on 1 vs the keeper. And we also have a clueless manager who loves this fraud striker
So we’re a striker away then?
@@Graziak5 Nope but a proper striker would really help
They're 1 good finisher away from a treble
Chelsea are good at fighting amongst themselves for penalties... What a hunger by these set of players # passionate
Pretty far. Squad is not good enough. Main problem are those 2 unbelievably expensive flopps that are running midfield. 350m€ spent on midfield and still no DM. Enzo,Caicedo, Lavia,Ugochukwu all CMs. There's no physical presence in the midfield. Defence is exposed due to awful defending by Enzo and Caicedo.
With poche, and playera like ghallager, sterling, badiashele, jackson...no trophies
We need a real proper goal scoring striker and get rid of Jackson
We need LB
we need at least 1 experienced CB
And we need a winger who can take people on and create chances and not a little kid
Everybody talks about the striker but something also needs to be done at the back, they’ve conceded 52 goals in the prem. That’s unacceptable for a big club
Aston Villa have conceded 50 and Spurs have conceded 49 they’re aren’t far away. It’s the scoring at crucial points in the game
@@nathanhenry7692 Naa, we need to be at the likes of Liverpool, city and Arsenal or even better
This my position. All footballers don't have to love the club. When they are on contract treat it as a business.. Bring Lukaku back.. Forget about the interview. If we had him, we finish top four this season and maybe won C cup and FA Cup! Who cares about interview!!
About 1 dodgy decision away from what I saw on Satdi (and a striker bless him)
Would Sterling score too
As long as fans keep going to games, giving money to club, cheer for mediocre players ,the club will win NOTHING for next decade
Jackson is not mature enough to score goals for Chelsea he needs to start with small club
WHOS HERE AFTER THE ARSENAL GAME.?!😂
we are far away from reaching the top 7, let alone trophies.
We’re 1 win away from top 7……..
About as far as Crystal Palace and Everton.
That’s a bit of an exaggeration
@Ells4x it's not as they no were near city Liverpool or arsenal
for those who are against pochettino, tell us exactly how a different coach would make the kids score? lol Our fanbase is actually insane. Poch has got it right many times, but the decision making, selfish, and just lack of experience. The recruitment let him down, injuries let him down, (we've barely had nkunku and chillwell, reece james, lavia. ) on top of that, the big earners aka sterling have grossly under performed. We've got to stop being so spoilt, and grow some patience darn it
The problem is you modern day fans are so easily swayed by social media and other ppl's opinions and unable to assess things on your own. I was at the Everton game and we were 5-0 against Everton and I look to fellow fans and said why doesn't pouch sub out gusto? He has been having niggling injuries all season and we need him against City's wingers, instead poch plays him till the 88th then against City he goes down with an muscle injury typically caused by exertion and 5mins later doku does in Disasi and goal.
1 decent Striker away.
Only depends on Cole not going to get you trophy. Nope!
Don't even consider Lukaku because he has an arrogant attitude when he came back to Chelsea he went on to have an unsanctioned interview and say that heart belonged to inter Milan yet him and his agent a week before the champions league final they talk to juventus about moving to them
At least he would have scored those chances Jackson fluffed
Stupid title, club has bad season but reached a final and a semi-final. Already contending.
I'm not forgetting how you had "pundits" predict Chelsea being in the top 4 before the season started, absolute clowns
The media loves Chelsea. They have spent billions and are currently in midtable yet there is very little criticism towards them.
@@BigSmokeMUFCprobably because they're 3 points off 6th with a game in hand while also going to a domestic final and semi final only losing to what will be the winners, thats hardly as terrible as rival fans want to sneer at for an under 23 squad with key injuries all season...
@@CB-lw7ty U games in hand are Arsenal away, Spurs at home and Brighton away. U will not win any of these games. U are in ur second season in the Boehly era and u are still midtable. Why are u still defending Chelsea when they have been majorly terrible all season? U should be angry and disappointed with the team u support this season. I certainly am for my club.
@@BigSmokeMUFC I've had 20 years of success winning every trophy atleast twice and started supporting the club when we were mid-table and just promoted back into the league. Spending 1-2 seasons back in mid-table but also being a game away from our usual European flux positions and 2 trips to Wembley this season when the seasons been labelled mostly "terrible" isn't bad enough to make me mad.
Generally I understand this is not Chelsea, Boehly has come in and removed/changed everything except the badge, colours and stadium (even that is under debate right now)...so to be 1 game off top 6, 2 domestic trips to Wembley ended only by the winners of the competition, an U23 squad with key injuries all season and we still are achieving that? Imagine what the potential for this squad is with a better fitting manager, striker, injury free and a bit of consistency that comes with age? Nothing to be mad at there, seems promising if this is the start in a chaotic new era.
@Hi5GhostMUFC "tHe MeDiA LoVeS cHeLsEA" what absolute bollocks!
Very
Another billion pound
When refs stop being corrupt
Jackson am very disappointed with you, we must buy either Oe watkins or Dominik.S. I now Isak will be a bit expensive. By the way remember Datron Fofana can still fit into the matrix, He needs a chance in a Chelsea kit 😶
A long way away with too many young unfit players no experience
they are far far far away no title to Chelsea till 2030 i am sure of that
Chelsea dead wood
Very far.
Cant use in experience as a excuse as most of their players are experienced in the premier league
we literally would won 2 trophies this season if our players were clinical in these games
Progress??? 🤣
Please abolish the pro rel system. Relegation is a garbage system. What are the advantages? When a popular team is relegated, league popularity, revenue, and team salaries all decrease. Of course, star players will leave the team and broadcasting rights fees will also take a hit. Who are the owners who invest in second division teams in the first place? When a 1st division team is relegated, the number of spectators decreases, and of course broadcast fees also decrease, as well as spectators. Investment also decreases. Also, even if they are promoted to the first division, there is a high probability that they will be relegated again, and the team owner is unlikely to invest because they will be relegated anyway. Also, even if you spend money, you are punished (Nottingham, Everton) The value of the club is low due to relegation, and especially in the first division, the same team always wins even if there is a promotion and relegation system. (Especially Real.Barça.ManCity.PSG.Bayern. Of course, Leverkusen won this time, but Munich won 11 times in a row.) I think Manchester City will win the League this time too.City's charges are exaggerated. Not guilty without evidence Most of the 115 charges involved not cooperating and not providing data. To be honest, I think there are about 10 important things, and the FFP violation is not guilty, right? Most of the evidence is fabricated. The CAS award emphasized that most of the alleged breaches reported by the Adjudicatory Chamber of the CFCB were either not established or time-barred. As the charges with respect to any dishonest concealment of equity funding were clearly more significant violations than obstructing the CFCB's investigations, it was not appropriate to impose a ban on participating in UEFA's club competitions for MCFC's failure to cooperate with the CFCB's investigations alone. However, considering i) the financial resources of MCFC; ii) the importance of the cooperation of clubs in investigations conducted by the CFCB, because of its limited investigative means; and iii) MCFC's disregard of such principle and its obstruction of the investigations, the CAS Panel found that a significant fine should be imposed on MCFC and considered it appropriate to reduce UEFA's initial fine by 2/3, i.e. to the amount of EUR 10 million . City's 115 charges 54 charges on: Failure to provide accurate and up-to-date financial information from 2009/10 to and including 2017/18 . 14 charges on: Failure to provide accurate financial reports for player and manager compensation from 2009/10 to and including 2017/18. 5 charges on: Failure to comply with UEFA’s regulations, including UEFA’s Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations . 7 charges on: Breaches of Premier League profitability and sustainability regulations from 2015/16 to and including 2017/18 . 35: charges on: Failure to cooperate with Premier League investigations from December 2018 - present. in any case, most of the charges are unreasonable Man City is the world's No. 1 team, but they don't admit it, right? And football has been corrupt since ancient times. During Calciopoli, Milan and Lazio ended with a point deduction despite match-fixing (Juve was relegated). Milan won the Champions League that season (2006-2007) Also, there was controversy over FFP when PSG recruited Neymar, Mbappe, and Messi, but the French league never punished PSG. Maradona did doping. Ronaldo, Messi, and Benzema are criminals, but they are not expelled. They also receive the Ballon d'Or. Why do we criticize owners who do not invest in their teams for not spending money, and why do we criticize owners who do invest for being oil money? I think it's better to spend money than not to spend it. Don't be hypocritical. What you're doing is duplicity. Just be honest and say you don't like City because they are the number one football club in the world. Man City will likely win the League again this year
