Seems to me this works because of an integer overflow. In programming you have to specify a memory size for a number (16 bits, 32 bits, etc), which basically just means that a number will have a valid range that it can be. If you make a number bigger than it valid size, the number will loop around to the lowest possible value, which is called an integer overflow. The same thing happens if you go below the smallest value, it loops around to the highest possible value. So I'm guessing that when you sell the turnip for -64,771,104 bells, that loops the number past the lowest value and it becomes a very big number near the max.
if the treasure island’s nooks cranny is closed. will the turnips that I picked up still be available to sell when I go back to my island? or do I have to sell only on the treasure island for it to work? great video btw thank you very much. I didnt know islands like those even existed :)
It has to be on a treasure island but it still works. I just did it in a new island 🏝️ If you were in treasure island just try different island. I guarantee it works 💕💕💕
I only have one question though, does every content creator like use these cheats? It's just that I see so many videos of huge, millionaire, gorgeous, outstanding islands with everything perfect in them and I wonder if all the bells necessary for those things were acquired in that way. It's sort of a dilemma too, cus on one hand you want to have money to build and decorate the island but on the other hand you know it's not rewarding at all to cheat and use not-hard-working bells to achieve your dream island.
I think most of the huge really fancy island use treasure islands. And it depends on your goal for your island. Some times I only want to decorate if I have a theme I’m excited about and some times I go all in original with no extra. So it just depends. I have made dozens of islands and don’t feel like spending the time grinding away to get my house upgraded for storage. That’s the beauty of this game and one reason it is still so popular- everyone can play it however they want to and it’s ok however that is 💕🙂

The dodo codes changes many times per day. You need to go to Twitch and get the newest codes each time. Just go to Twitch and type in “ACNH free treasure islands” 😊
Dang I don’t think it worked for me. I thought I followed all the steps. Got to a treasure island through twitch. Amazing btw. Found a turnip. Went to sell it. Got that weird exact negative number. Got back home. (Took forever with the stalling for new arrivals) Went to check my bank account, and no change occurred. Am I missing something? It’s late night where I am, if that matters. (Australia) but was daytime wherever I went.
going to the dlc job and using the machine to trade that currency into bells is a great way to get bells, you can also keep doing it by changing the system time I think. its time consuming but easier than getting bells other ways
You have to come back when their store is open. Since these are islands from all around the world their time may be set differently than yours. 😕But you can just try a different island 🏝️ 💕💕💕

You have to sell the entire stack of 3 but otherwise you did it all right. Just try again and it will definitely work 🤗
