Bruh how is the 2020 Ferrari the worst one? In 1980 Ferrari only scored 8 POINTS. What's more baffling is that in 1979 they won the WCC yet the very next year they sunk so far and finished 10th in the standings

There was a different point system back then, but agreed, that's their worst vehicle... Gilles was like 15th in WDC and Jody, the defending WC, was something like 19th or 20th!!!

Ferrari's SF1000 is bad, but it is nowhere near as bad as the 312T5 that was used in the 1980 season.
The car was such a shit box, they finished the season with only 8 points and P10 on the constructor's championship, and they lost their 1979 champion Jody Scheckter when he retired from F1 after such a disastrous season. And I think that was also the worst Ferrari has ever performed in F1 to date.
To be fair, the 312T5 was an evolution to the 312T chassis used since 1975 that brought Niki Lauda his 2 championship wins in 1975 and 1977 and Schecker's win in 1979, and the 312T was never build with ground effect in mind, which is like trying to make a P-51 mustang a stealth fighter.
All very true - anyone who says the 2020 car is the worst is either deluded or short sighted. Try the F14T or the 312/69 or even better, the F92A that was hopelessly slow, ate through at least 220 engines and ended Ivan Capelli's career.

@@kwanlinus6999 Mostly Alonso since Raikkonen didn’t have a single podium all year. Only Massa in 2011 and Capelli in 1992 achieved that unwanted feat.
I'd argue 2015 and 2017 McHonda cars could be strong contenders for the worst McLarens
1980 is worse.
2014 Ferrari was hell worst than the 2020, Alonso and Kimi where the ones who made that car look good.
The Mercedes of 2011 was DEFINITELY the WORST MERCEDES, but 2022 wasn't even second. 2010 was. Look it up
More stuff to mention, in 1980 Ferrari finished TENTH. I'd say that's worse than sixth. You don't even have to cast your mind back particularly far to find a worse McLaren, when in both 2015 and 2017 they finished ninth. You were right about Sauber, but allow me to remind you, in 2014 there were 11 teams. They only finished second-last.
I guess he didn't include the 2010 mercedes as it was pretty much just the BGP-001 carried over into the 2010 regulations, so it can be seen as not mercedes' design

@@benben3409 The 1980 Ferrari is all the more disappointing because it came right after a double championship season. Jody Scheckter (last Ferrari champion before the 2000's even) won the title with teammate Gilles Villeneuve close behind, and the team just collapsed the next year. Honestly pretty sad.

There’s at least five worse Ferraris than the 2020 car. The obvious 312/T5, the 312/69 that was so awful they didn’t bother attending the German GP that year, the F93A, the F14T and of course, the hopeless F92A which was 3 seconds off the pace and horrendously unreliable.
I think there’s been worse McLarens too and the STR2 was a worse car than the STR1.
The 2015 Mclaren MP4-30 was an absolute Trawler, slow and unreliable, also, I'm not sure if could be considered, but like the FW42, the 2003 MP4-18 wasn't ready for the start of the season, nor for the end... they had to race with an "improved" 2002 MP4-17 for the entire '03 season. the MP4-18 never saw the race track and one the car was ready (now renamed MP4-19) for 2004, it was still bad.

Honestly, i think Merc's worst car will be their current W15. 3 years in these regs and they still cant understand the car, still the same problems as they had in 2022, and Merc are being outdeveloped by Ferrari and 1 possibly 2 customerteams

1992 Jordan-Yamaha (old Aston) was nothing short of horrific. 1981 Toleman (Alpine) is another botch job. Great vid anyway
The Fact Charles and Seb were Able to Score Podiums With That F1000 Still Amazes Me. Also I realized that Seb's Turkey 2020 Was His Last Dance With Ferrari by Scoring A Podium

I think for Ferrari you should take a look at the T-Cams of Alonso and Kimi driving the F14 T - specifically Abu Dhabi Sector 3😳

SF1000 is FAR from being the worst Ferrari. The worst was the 312T5 from the 1980 season.
That car was so bad it was the only Ferrari car that didn't achieve a single podium, it achived 10TH place in the constructors and made the reigning world champion (Jody Scheckter) retire from F1
I think I would say that this year's Mercedes, the W15, is really their worst car.
I honestly think the w14 was worse than the w13. In terms of how little competition in provided, I really don’t think it matters how fast it was. To think Lewis scored more points in 2022 than 2023 is crazy, but it just goes to show how uncompetitive that car was
The M28 can't be any worse than the GP2 engine. That one was bad from the start and not even Alonso could bring it to score points on a semi-regular basis

It is the last F1 car to ever run on V10 and the last car to run on a different engine spec compared to the pack.
Sure, the V10 of 2006 was nerfed from its screaming 18k RPM to a subdued scream of 16.5k RPM, but that sound will always ring F1.
What a sad send-off for one of the greatest engines in F1 history.
2:22 I think it's easy as casuals to dismiss the W13 concept, but the fact is Adrian Newey said the concept had merit but viewed the 2022 Ferrari concept as inferior. It's also entirely possible that the zero pod concept could've worked, as merc as still having rear instability issues despite moving away from it. Suggesting the limit wasn't the sidepod concept
3:16 tbf to the Sf1000, the car wasn't bad, remember that a lot of the car was carried over 2021 where it got 3rd in the championship. It just sufffered from an anaemic engine. Which wasn't bc they'd done a bad job, just cheated the year before and had to start again. I'd go with a 1980s/90s ferrari instead where they just couldn't make a car and had no excuse

13:34 customer cars have been a thing for a long time, pre dating toro rosso, toro rosso was relatively un controversial at the time, the main reason that it's controversial now is bc they were later banned
AMR is Force India (Daddy Stroll bought it midway 2018s and rebrand it to Racing Point for 2019-2020 and re-brand it again for 2021-onwards to Aston Martin). And to be fair if we count the Jordan, Spyker, and Midland days VMJ01 is still the worst (haven't score any point and finishing last in constructor championship) car they ever make since even in 2007 (during their Spyker Days) they still score 1 point, and in 2006 (their second year as midland) even tho they didn't score any point, at least this time they are not last in constructor championship

Force India had a different hq, different owner, different technical team, and different entry (Stroll could've bought the force india entry but didn't, hence why they didn:t get to keep their constructors points)
It wasn't just a team changing its name like renault to alpine, toro rosso to alphatauri, or even racing point to aston martin

What Stroll do is basicly upgrading and renovating the facility there and recruiting more staff. If you watch F1 from 2018 you can see they re-brand the team midway through the season from Force India to Racing point

I think you messed something up with Sauber. They didn't finish last in 2014, Caterham did. They finished last in 2017 though.
Unlike Sauber, Caterham were hopeless for the entire 3 years they were on the grid and no one had expectations for them
