Are those coins worth money and how much would I have to pay please send me back a answer thank you
The only SLQ I have is a 1927-D. My uncle gave me when I was a kid. He must have picked it out because it was a rare date. I only got 8 common wheats in my $10 bag of pennies today but yesterday someone left some change on top of the coin star machine and there was 2 silver dimes in it. I guess they took it out of the reject bin but they didn’t know or care that they were silver and left them there, so I took them. 1964P and 1962D.
Always love seeing seated halves despite the condition they’re in. Good hunt. Nice seeing more older stuff pre barber wise. Happy Monday
same
I enjoy wondering about the lives of those who have handled old coins and what world events were happening in their lives…..coinage speaks when we listen…🎉🎉🎉🎉
Always enjoy when you do junk silver. Fun video to watch as we get ready for a hurricane down here in Florida. Happy Hunting! Stephen
Wow!! Thanks for a fun hunt, love all the Silver. It's awesome to see what you find. 😊
Thanks for watching!
Hey Rob! Loved the video, very informative! I've recently gotten into collecting silver dimes and buffalo nickels and watching these videos inspires me to complete my books!
Thank you and happy hunting!
I love old silver coins, thanks for the video.
Nice. This content always reminds me to keep the old .900 coins and sell rounds.
Another great video. Thanks!
And in my quest for W quarters, i found a near-perfect Salt River Bay 2020... S!
I enjoy your junk silver purchase and hunt videos. Nice designs on the coins.
Glad you like them!
Amazing find and awesome video!Love the channel
Thanks so much!
As always, it's a blast going thru the constitutional silver with you, Rob! For some reason, I just adore those older, worn out seated liberty halves that are, at best, in fair condition. They just have a mystery to them. How did they get so worn? I tend to "romanticize" coins like that. It's a little weird. Anyway, thanks for letting us take that journey with you!
I hear you brother. I love them too!
Love the history in these old coins!!!
It is always fun buying a mystery bag of constitutional silver - and you had quite a few nice scores there! Can't wait for part #2! Another great video!
You and me both!
Ooooh!
Always fun watching a silver sort!
Awesome video nice junk silver hunt nice silver coins and that's a shame that the some of the Morgan dollars where clean and tool thanks for sharing Rob
Thanks for the video!
Nice video Rob, thanks for sharing your silver purchases with us 👍
Well that was fun 👍🏻!! Thanks Rob
Love some old junk!
Awesome pickup Rob! Always enjoy seeing these old coins
Can't wait for part 2!
I love these Rob, keep em coming
My favorite type of videos 😊
Rob - remember a couple years ago when I emailed you an RFT-themed parody of The 12 Days of Christmas that I made myself? The substitute for 5 Golden Rings was "5 Seated Halves", and take a look at this! We got 5 Seated Halves!
Coincidence? I think NOT!!!
We did brother!
25 times face?! I found a place and gave 18 times face today! I didnt realize i did so well or that other places are charging so much for constitutional! Ill be back there tomorrow for more constitutional! Haha thanks for the info and the video!
man i love watching these
Fun stuff! Cheers!!!
Awesome finds!
Don't forget to check that 1909 s half dollar for inverted s!😊
Great video
What a fun hunt! Sorry no big finds, but still great watching!
hi rob, smells like a nice hunt :D gotta love barbers
The 1899 Philly Barber 50c has that nice 'circulated cameo' look many enjoy.
Picked up a 1898 Barber half from my coin guy today, only $20!! Not in the best condition but still a sweet deal!
I actually got a 1908-S quarter from my local shop for, like, $8. There was some really bad gunk on the back, but most of it wasn't caked on and came right off easily. Obviously the small amount that is caked on is still there, I'm not gonna risk scratching the coin, but yeah... really good deal there. Has decent-ish detail too. Probably G-4 to G-6, but some detail still there.
I once picked up a PL 1921-S Morgan, but like your quarter, it had some weird gunk on the back. Luckily, it wasn't caked on so it came off easily. It's around probably XF condition.
Only Rob could find the 1918/7 s SLQ in a junk silver hunt, but you gotta hunt em to find em
i got a dateless SLQ from a junk drawer coin lot, and i put in a solution of mine for 24 hrs to get a date, and it was a 1918-S as well haha
Great not "junk" silver hunt sir!
Every rob video is a banger video.
Your intro is cool!
Waiting for your auction for Morgan count me in😂
I have a 1861 O that I think has a pretty good die crack on the obverse. Wasn’t aware that was a thing. Still working. I’ll take a look when I get home.
Idk. She’s in pretty rough shape and definitely looks cleaned. Under magnification it does look like a crack coming off the nose but too tough to tell for me -
I would send the 1918-S SLQ in for a cert. The upper loop of the 8 in the date should be round if it's a 1918-S. The upper loop of the 8 in the 1918/7-S looks more like a reverse D.
love that silver
Rob, The 1876 CC dime looks like it may be a doubled Die Obverse. Check it out.
I'd look closer at that 1918 -- it could be 8/7.
my local coin shop has 90% silver for 20x face and you get to pick exactly what you want and i want to spend all my money there haha
I also love searching for rare and valuable coins. How do you get those old coin bags?
Hey rob I have a bunch of Morgan and peace dollars. None of them have been cleaned. How could I get a grade on them without sending them to pcgs?
Very cool finds! I can't wait to start doing these myself!
I'd like to see a video that demonstrates an SLQ being acid treated by using Nic-A-Date. It worked for someone.
I think it just turns silver black. Distilled white vinegar might work over time though.
@@RobFindsTreasure yes, I heard that someone used that treatment, and the date revealed, only to leave a stain.
I need to get me some more Morgan's, its been a while!
👍
Love to watch you dig through these silver lots.
Robb, would you comment on Daniel's Coin Help You video of August 29th regarding a bank closing a dealers accounts. Sounds scary.
Great Hunt…With current Silver prices isn’t 25x face a bit steep?
That is for Mercs, Rosies and Washingtons, BUT not for the older stuff.
Rob, what does it mean when you say that a coin has been ‘tooled’? Tooled with what? Looking forward to your reply ✌🏼
The surface of the coin has been altered by a tool to look better - usually a dremel or some light buffing. You can tell by the minor scratches seen at different angles. Of course, it could also have been heavily cleaned with an abrasive to cause the same thing.
Hi
I fine a 1892 s Morgan silver dollar very old and use. I Weigh it on a scale and it was 25g. Do old coin lose weight? Real ones is 26.7g
And I also when to check on a pawn shop and test it if was real silver and it was.
It would have to be real slick to lose that much but it’s possible.
@@RobFindsTreasure I see. Thanks
Delicious silver... Thanks for sharing this Rob.
Would you clean any of the blackened Barbers??
No. I prefer them that way versus shiny and slick
They're pieces of history.
💰💰💰💰✌️
First
💥BOOM!
GG man
✌️
It's funny how he casually looked at seated 5 half dollars. When it's more seated, half dollars, then I have!
BTW, this isn't like a hate thing. Love your content. You were a huge inspiration and got me collecting.😊
Sounds like you get a great price. Coin shops near me sell similar little grab bags with 5-10 coins at a similar price and those have moderns mixed in, and definitely no key dates
Here early enough to see the typo in the title ;)
Nice catch!
I thought the price of junk silver was way down the last couple weeks. 25 x face ?
I pay up for the older stuff. I can get Washingtons, Rosies and Mercury Dimes for less than 20x usually.
I bet the silver jar is angry knowing that none of that will feed it.
LOL for sure!
Take that possible 18/17 to a show and have anacs look at it!
A confederate states half dollar - neat.
I believe the 1861 half dollar O was also made for the union (but the confederates supervised the minting the coins)😊
I believe if the Confederates had handled this coin officially it would have a restruck reverse.
Let's just hope they don't cancel it since it's confederate
25x face? ouch
Yeah but it’s older stuff do I’m good.
first comment gets replied boom
$40 a piece for those Morgans? Ew. Doesn't seem like a good price to me.
Tough to get them cheaper unless you are buying cull ones. These all had much better details than cull despite half of them having issues - tooling, polishing, cleaning.
If the coins are not to your liking, you sure do complain a lot. But then what do you do with them, and yet you sell them for a hefty price. I watch your videos, but you expect a lot in return on the coin values.
I think it is not me who does the complaining brother, just saying…
@@RobFindsTreasure well what do you do with the coins not to your liking.
@@RobFindsTreasure I sure the hell, don't charge a big mark up like you. Coins I don't like I give them to my nephews.
@@canadians2214 You are wrong brother. I don’t charge a markup. Any coins I offer up sell for what people decide to pay for them. You’re just complaining to complain, as usual. Try to stay positive, it’s actually easier.
