Aa a lifelong Southern California native, the amount of rust on this car looks scary to me. But yes. As a Michigan car I believe it could be alot worse. You seem very knowledgeable and I believe you will do a great job fixing her up! You would be amazed how rust free my 58 cadillac is. My parents bought it in 1960 from a Doctor friend of theirs. I was 1 year old! Lifelong Southern California car, Palm Springs desert area. Its never seen snow, hell, it hardly rains here! Lol. I'm a huge car nut, and by the time I was about 7 I was in love with it. We used to take summer trips to Missouri in it to visit family in the 1960s, the factory AC made them pleasant and comfortable. Mom knew I wanted the car bad, I was its caretaker starting when I was about 12. So In 1982 she signed it over to me. She's in good shape, still on the road, and is great fun tooling around town and at car shows. I'm 63. Shes 64, soon to be 65. She was delivered to her original owner in January 1958..were growing old together lol!

Thank you very much for the kind words. I absolutely LOVE Cadillacs especially the 58s! That is an incredible story and that is so awesome you and her are both growing old together. I don't care what anyone says there's a special bond with our vehicles that is unexplainable... they're family. Thanks for watching we hope you subscribe and continue to enjoy the content!

Yes it would. But we figured why not make a nice four door sedan for someone to enjoy. Thanks for watching.

@@StreetFreaksGarage I have a two door ‘58 Delray, but if I was ever to own a four door, it would a ‘58 Delray/ Biscayne/Belair. With that body style, the extra doors don’t bother me.

Thanks for watching. There will definitely be alot more coming on the 58 just not exactly sure when. We do have a couple of cars in front of it but we will be filming as much as we can when we get a chance to work on it. Thanks again and make sure to subscribe so you won't miss when we do post. Thanks again. 👍

Awesome! Thanks. Yeah they're great cars. Our side trim had bolts on the ends and clips that popped into the fender holes if I remember correctly. Progress is slow on it with a few of the other project cars we have but we're plugging away at it. Thanks for watching. Don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already.

@@Sam-yy1db yes I will I'll have to dig the information out so bare with me. I know I have about 1200-1500 just in sheet metal alone. I thought Chevys were cheaper, lol 🤣

Auto City Classics part #9084. They have pretty much everything for 1958 Chevrolet. Great company. They're out of Minnesota. Thanks for watching and subscribing.

I think you bought my old parts car. Youre using the 350 engine out of it for this one. It looks exactly like this one but is much worse for rust. the hood had a section cut out of it and you posted a video about it a year ago i think. Im also in Michigan. Nice to see another one getting saved. I saved a 4 door in 2018 and it rarely sees the light of day as i dont want it to get smashed by some distracted driver.

Hello! I think you're right! Seems we remember your 58, it's beautiful! Great job on the restoration. Yes we're using your old car for parts. Matter of fact the engine and trans will more than likely be put into the four door we are saving. Thanks for reaching out and supporting the channel. Hope you subscribe to follow our progress. Thanks again and good to hear from you. 👍
