Tax evasion is punishable with jail. hy are the IT authorities and courts so lenient with politicians and bureaucrats?
Ordinary people get arrested and fined for small tax evasion, while the cases against national-level politicians and these Congress leaders go on for years with no result. There was a recent case where a widow who got Rs 2 crores after her husband's death after selling off some assets, got arrested. She had not filed her IT. For what? 2 crores and here we talk of thousands of crores and nothing happens!!
It appears as though all the courts and government are working together to show something is being done, but these people never get arrested.
