Windward Takedown

Seadon Wijsen from North Sails shows how to do the windward douse.
- Helmsman bears down (20 degrees), while the spinnaker trim remains unchanged.
- Bowman and mast pull the lazy spin sheet till the bowman has the clew in his hands, calls for tackline release.
- Tackline completely released, and bowsprit returned to stowed position,
- Bowman gathers the foot till the tack is inside of the boat ( over pulpit), calls for halyard.
- Halyard completely released.
