I can’t remember what if it was this game or early bfv but I used to run up to enemy tanks and get in them. They’d drive around doing tank stuff and hopefully they’d eventually hop out to repair then I’d switch to the driver seat and take off with it.

In bf4 you had to exit to repair but why did he exit it if he could fully repair from inside?

In situations like these, pick up the kit of tanker you kill. You will have a wrench and will be able to self-repair the tank.
