I thought the message of this song was consent. Some teenagers grow up with the fantasy of being with someone romantically, clearly with influences from fairytales they've read up either in books or films involving adults (hence the frog person being an adult). But she is saying she is just a child and hey, let's get to the physical parts later because I am still young and I need to enjoy my childhood a little.
sars1601 that’s pretty much it-the princes in the beginning gave it away. all the princes were in her dream while the frog was reality and proved it wasn’t exactly like she thought it would be which is why she isn’t ready to kiss him yet.

basically, yeah. but it also has meaning in the storyline.
Right? I think a lot of young girls have this idealized idea of what romantic relationships are like, but once they start dating they might realize they're not ready yet for something intimate like kissing (and anything even more intimate). There's nothing wrong with that kind of sentiment. It's okay to take things slow, especially when you're young and don't feel ready yet :)

Yeah, the song is so cute and fun! It's like a song from the theatre or a Disney movie, as you say. There are a lot of cute songs but this one is so unique; it talks about consent and young love. I identify myself with the song!
When I see Loona Solo Rankings or something like that, Kiss Later usually has a low rank, its so sad :c
Faded Demigod i love the solo guitar part the most. I didn't really pay attention to it, until i listen only to the song, without watching the mv. This song is musically pleasing in the ear.

I've heard it was school related but not her performance in school it was the attendance requirement since she was in middle school instead of high school.
Moonstar trash - Actually BBC made sort of an event where fans got to choose three out of the four already revealed members to form a subunit with a new one. I'm guessing people didn't vote for YeoJin because she was too young (at least that's what I would have done); but from that to say that it was because of bad grades...

@@sarahraynore6713 I thought that too the first time I saw that "voting" video but if you watch you can see Yeojin is not on it, they already chose the members at that time. Yeojin didn't participate because she was too young and there are laws to protect young idols for being overworked :)
It's actually a very good song. Sure, her voice was still quite childish and the layered voices were certainly meant to hide her weaknesses. But she has definitely improved and will continue to do so. She has a lot of self-confidence but she know her place (even if she wanted to challenge Yves 😉)
at first i didnt find this song interesting, but its grows on me and became one of my favorite loona solo
I love these videos but I'm sad to see they're not gonna react to Eclipse, Singing in the Rain, or Heart Attack :( I appreciate that you guys are even reacting to LOONA though! It's crazy how popular they've grown already...

Rawyah starlight heart attack is pretty interesting though...
I know Umu didn't think Heart Attack was musically interesting enough to react to, but as a musician myself (I'm a classically trained vocalist) I think it's a really interesting song. It has a lot of common motifs in jazz and pop music that are fit together in a pretty odd way, the subtle things are what make that song amazing. Idk tho, I don't know as much about theory as Umu, and it is her channel, so I respect her decision.

It always makes me smile realizing how appreciated Kiss Later is! I’m glad people really like the musical sound of Kiss Later :) I don’t see many people talk abt how well made the song is. I’m also very glad they mentioned the jazz vibes! I immediately got the brassy instruments when I first listened to it but it’s not something easy to pick out! It’s been years but again, I appreciate you guys choosing this mv to discuss!
btw the frog prince is (in the lore) symbolically the same age as yeojin seeing as they're both studying for college (mentioned in the song description on the album i believe) so please don't consider it in *that* kind of way!
My first impression about this one was that it would be a good opening of a magic/shoujo anime. I love it.
Not sure if I'm the only one, but the song gave me a musical theatre feel to it. I could easily see this as the opener to a musical a la Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist where Yeojin is walking to school and passes by a bunch of advances from men, particularly by the frog prince at school on her way to class. It has the bright feel that most modern musicals have as their opener after the overture and the choreography and instrumentals very much help that. The brass section is flashy in the way a musical would want to hook you in while still remaining light and bubbly. It's still a pop song at the end of the day but a pop song with character like a lot of the solo singles from the rest of the members.

Me too. I became a fan since Haseul era but I listened to Heeejin's first. . .then I lie low during OEC era for some reason. (I'm not into girlcrush concept, I guess)
I'm usually into girl crush concepts (See blackpink and some of mamamoo's songs) but for some reason i didn't really listen to OEC releases either except for love cherry motion, there's something very cool about how loona does cute bubbly songs that draws me in more than their girl crush sound
