- My friend, Kevin's coin shop got broken into last week. To add insult to injury, the break-in happened just a day or two after a couple of punks stole blank checks from the shop. Kevin shared his story in a very candid manner. He was even shared surveilliance photos and a video. Hopefully, this crime will be solved and perhaps the images in this video will help. I have a small business got robed 3 years ago stole over 6 thousand $ worth of tools (I'm a tradesman who stacks) caught the perps but didn't get my tools back best thing is he got 6 years and he's still in jail. I know how you feel

Valuable and cheap lesson to get solid door,bars, etc..my gas station paid $1000 for glass door replacement , 6 times Coin Hunts loss!!

We learned a little unknown fact in this video. Sacagawea dollars were actually made to deter and trick thieves into thinking they're real gold while the real gold remains secure 😅
unrelated to coin shops but we had a family friend who owned a small grocery store they got robbed a couple times. They bought an attack trained GSD and left him in the store overnights.....Store never got robbed again.

Been to the coin hunt once he’s fairly new and was great to deal with, this sucks
The sad thing is these guys have nothing to lose so if they do get caught again they will be pushed back out to society over and over again. At least they were not violent criminals. $150 worth of stuff is not even worth reporting to insurance unless you have a zero deductible. This kind of stuff makes me never want to open up my own coin shop even though I love the hobby.

I lived in Indy for 30 years before moving to Florida. When I was visiting a month ago I looked up coin shops and saw The Coin Hunt. When I saw the address my first thought was "That's a bad area for a coin shop."

Wow, criminals sucks, it just seems like every day you hear these horror stories of thefts, robberies, and shootings, it’s getting worse and worse. It’s getting out of hand it feels like

It became more and more dangerous during the past few years to keep a coin and PM business running. But: in today´s world you definitely need some grids and/ or safety glass to secure the entrance and the windows of stores like these. Just my 2 cents. Greets from GER, U.

the owners need to make sure they're armed, too. think it's going to get worse with thiefs, burglars and crooks. CVS stores across the country are starting to lock up items in their stores...

well i guess if you had to get robbed this is about the best scenario that could happen,,they stole all the cheap junk and didn't cash any of his checks,,didn't destroy any of his cases,,and its gonna make his security extra strong after this episode and im pretty sure he has a gun ready if you come marching through his door with ill intentions...

I fear it will only get worse, because an LCS i visit in Tacoma recently had their front door smased in and they obviously took things, but they are also lock up a lot of their inventory in a safe! Sucks when stuff like this happens

My local shop has an attempted robbery two days in a row. The first day they couldn’t get in because of the security on the door, so the second day the owner (a guy I knew for over 20 years before he passed) stay the night and ended up being forced to shoot the armed robbers. Thankfully he was not injured but it messed him up mentally for a while from having to shoot them, but they left him no choice

@@TtheSilverStackerI was talking to my pawn shop folks yesterday about the amount of counterfeit coins that they are seeing come through lately. They just throw them in the trash, but I think they should keep them and put trays of them in the case at night as bait!😅 Stay safe out there!❤
