Thank you so much for this video! We are new to raising boer goats (this is our 2nd year). First year amazingly we didn't have any health problems but this year we have had issues with coccidiosis. I have one wether that is still struggling with it so I ordered Toltrazuril based on this video. It just arrived today and I'm going to give all the wethers a dose tonight to keep them all on the right track. Corid seemed to help all of them except one. I'm excited and hopeful this might be what we need. Thanks for all the great information!

I have had this also use the same mmedication the toltrazuril has another name market which is used as a horse wormer but we get a generic form in central ky at half price...bottom line it works thanks for sharing also supplements vit b complex helps boost energy and appetite

thanks for your help. i saved a young baby with similar treatment like you suggest. he had scours & was staying by hisself. cleared up fast. i had just lost my best nanny & had wormed her the same way even tho she did not have the scours. she was staying by herself. she was eating some & drinking water. is their visual indications of coccida? she was best moma i have ever had. we
have had rain almost everyday in august but great pasture & fresh grass, i appreciate all your videos.

How often do you give them the spectroguard.? Every day? 3-4 days? Once a month? Thanks for the video great video. I already had one baby die on me yesterday smh I have two more scouring…
As needed until it dries up or use the other if spectoguard don’t work.
I have a baby goat that is languishing? No scours but we brought him in , he is just about 2 months old He was born healthy and growing, then he started crying, we brought him in he wouldn’t eat for a day or so but after giving him penicillin he started eating and getting stronger, now he’s not recovering so we wormed him . He still eating but not thriving, 😢

Hey Josh hope all is well. Do you give the spectoguard only once or for multiple days like corid?
We give it the first day then as needed. It typically dries it up after first dose.
How much Corid do you add to the water and for how long? Trying to treat my crazy, wild does with the liquid form orally is a rodeo - this looks much more efficient and easy.
We use that and pour about half of the bag into a 100 gal tank. Yea this works better
Josh, about how much creep feed do your weaned babies eat in a day? Do you give the mommas much grain prior to weaning? Thanks
We have 2 150# feeders we fill them every 2 weeks
We give a little grain til the grass greens up.
I tried Corid for the 5 days on my 3mo old babies. Helped but did not get rid of it. SpectoGard isn't available anywhere right now. I have scoured the internet (pun intended). I would like to keep some on hand if I can ever find some.
Yes I have heard it’s hard to get right now. It’s something you will want on hand for sure. Never know when one will get the scours.

Newbie here, we just got into sheep,pigs and goats this year. My sheep have scours but the other animals are showing no signs yet. The eye members are pale. I was only able to get ivermectin drench for sheep in my area. Could I use that for the pigs and goats also? Sh

How much would you give for a five week ol baby that weighs about 4lbs... i got a bottle baby and now shes scouring due to weaning or maybe even coccidiosis
I would give 1 ml and see if that helps then give another if needed.

I only give it to them once I see it and if it don’t clear up in a couple days I go to the other stuff then that will clear it up.

Will the corid from tractor supply work?
It helps to prevent but won’t stop it once coccidia starts. You will need either one to stop it.
@@BoisDArcKikos I cuffently have a baby goat with runny dieareah I’m not sure if it’s because of the milk or the dry food I have for my other goat.. so the only thing I could get was the Corid from there. I might have to get specto guard online then.

How often do you give the scour check? Just one time? Is it supposed to fix the problem with one dose?
When we see runny butts we give the red scour meds if that don’t work we use the other. The other one is the best but expensive. 1ml per 5#

I have 2 Questions, 1, We have rabbits and they keep getting Coccidia Will it pass over to the goats? 2, If a pregnant goat does Get it is it harmful to the babies?
I don’t think a pregnant doe can give it to the unborn kids but she needs to medicated because it drains all the essential nutrients from her and her kids. Coccidia can’t be transferred from rabbits to goats.
