Girl, no judgement. Sometimes life gets overwhelming and some things have to fall to the wayside for a bit. I love your videos and I love your honesty. You definitely helped me to make peace with having several WIPs. It used to stress me out. But after hearing your philosophy on WIPs I feel okay about it now. ❤

Just found you and subbed! I liv3in cny and wanted to know when the next cny fiber festival is ? I discovered Knitty Gritty last year and spent all my gift $$ Sooo! I relate to a ban ! Lol! I've been unable to focus on my wip's and they are in a tote atm . Im trying to straighen my craft room , I quilt too! Ufo's have overwhelmed me ! Si , Im making lists and have a rehome pile ! Life does get in the way! 😂 Don't even talk about thrifts ! Last haul, got enough #5 to make a tote ! Yes! I leave a lot behind. No acrylics unless a specific project! Salas days are here ! Time for the linen/ cotton blends 🎉
Oof, not counting thrifted yarn towards a yarn band is such a slippery slope! I love vintage/rare yarns, but I've made so many impulse purchases just because "It's so unique!" or "This is my only chance to get it", only to then get stuck with an awkward quantity or not being able to pair that yarn with anything. Now my approach is to ask myself "Would I get this yarn in a regular store?" and "Would I still choose this color if there were multiple options?". 99% of the time the answer is no 😅

😂 I know exactly what you mean. I really do leave a lot of yarn at thrift stores - I don't buy it all! But when I find something I think is special, or an exceptionally good price, I go for it. Like the mohair blend cone I found last month, or the full sweater quantity I got from Facebook Marketplace. 🤷🏼♀️
