  • Oregon's 142nd Wing will be the inaugural operational unit for the F-15EX, offering a fresh spectacle for plane enthusiasts in Oregon to behold.
The 142nd Wing of the Oregon Air National Guard is gearing up for a substantial enhancement as it gets ready to shift from the F-15C to the more advanced F-15EX, marking the pioneering transition for an operational unit.
US Air Force Pilots from the 142nd Wing conducted tests on the F-15EX at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. They observed significant enhancements in power, radar capabilities, and avionics, contrasting notably with the outdated features of the F-15C.

The F-15 EX is super, but these piolets depend on having the best helments and much better smart weapons, throughout their lifetime!!😊 And this should also applie to both the F-35's and the F-22's and whatever else comes after that!!😊

That particular unit took over responsibility of training all Air Force and ANG F-15 pilots. Prior to that all AF pilots went Tyndall AFB, FL to learn to fly the F-15. When Tyndall transitioned to training pilots to fly the F-22, F-15 flight training went to the Oregon ANG and the 142nd at Klamath Falls. They are getting the EX as the Air Force, as a whole, is replacing the F-15C/D.

The F-15EX will be able to fly circles around the old F-15 and you will see it do a lot of high alpha post stall moves that you see in the F-35 and a lot of the Russian jets.

We do have the f22 and f35 the latter in quite numerous numbers too China or Russia does not have an Air Force even if you combined both that matches ours. Dont fool yourself that hypersonic missiles are not in our inventory bc they most definitely are and hypersonic missiles are not going to be a huge game changer either look at Ukraine Russia has only one true hypersonic missile and they are not even using it I'm guessing it's to expensive when you can use artillery shells by the thousands and cheap commercial made drones to do a lot of the fighting.
