    Sabaton don't block videos.
They instead encourage people to react and share.
As long as you pick videos from their own channel you're safe.
Only the live stuff from Wacken can be a little effy because there Wacken have a word.

This is 100% Accurate, they actually went over that in the Camouflage magazine they make.
      The question was asked
"There are so many people that react to your music on CZcams do you think that's a good thing?"
Joakim responded: "Of course! we have a fan base, and I'm sure the people who react and share their songs do too.
We love to teach history in what we call a primal form....with metal music we find it keeps the attention of people and people always say to us, we listen your song and we went and did research we learnt a whole lot, so in a video that's maybe a couple of minutes long people will remember the things they learnt always.
Interviewer: "The reactors think they will have their videos removed from CZcams because of copyright will this happen?
Joakim: "We own Nuclear Blast records we have had CZcams emails saying that your song appeared in this video do you wish to Claim the rights and we always....always respond with No!, we enjoy the feedback we enjoy the creativity we ourselves watch the reactions so why would we want to do that.
If CZcams ever copyright claims a reactor then we ask them to reach out to us and we will put it right.

Sabaton is from Sweden, founded in 1999. Most of their songs are war-history based. I learned more about history from their songs than from school.
You should listen to "Race to the see" and "Resist and Bite" that are both songs about Belgium history.
If you like epic music videos I recommend "Christmas Truce"
And they have a history channel called Sabaton History, where they explain the history behind their songs.

They do have songs that aren't war-themed. It's just that those songs are from the time before they decided on direction for the band. Metall Machine is one of my favorites, you can make a game of catching all the heavy metall/hard rock references and easter eggs.

The skipper in the intro is the son of the last survivor, who died in 2018. The pocket compass is a true relic from the Bismarck, engraved with the position.
Joakim Brodén, lead singer and a founder member. I believe his tattoos has a Maorian or Pacific origin.
Pär Sundström, bass also a founding member. Those two write most songs.
Chris Rörland guirar on Joakims left, joined 2012.
Hannes Van Dahl drummer and married to Floor Jansen. Joined 2013
Last, but not the least, he is 1.95 cm tall Tommy Johansson guitar.
Tommy is a musical world of himself, also fronting his own band Majestica and doing solowork on his own channel. New release every week. Recommend his Phantom of the Opera, where he sings both parts himself. Incredible range we don't hear much of in Sabaton as Joakim has the perfect voice for their music.

    From their homepage
"In the pivotal year of 2005, we unleashed our studio album, “Primo Victoria”. For Sabaton, this was a seismic milestone that reverberated through the very fabric of our existence, forever altering the trajectory of our lives.
“Primo Victoria” marked the birth of our musical identity. We had written and composed music prior to it, but never quite like this. It showed the world that we were tackling metal music in an alternative way with alternative methods, armed with a distinct niche: heavy metal infused with fact-based history.
“Primo Victoria” pays tribute to events in military history spanning various conflicts around the world. It features powerful, anthemic music and lyrical content based on real wartime experiences. Upon its release, the album struck a chord with both metal enthusiasts and history buffs, and we are beyond happy that it’s still a firm favourite among Sabaton fans today. We hope that we have created something timeless that will continue to resonate with people for decades to come…

All Sabaton's songs deserve promotion, and understanding, of the the tales they tell, at the end of each video is the Sabaton history channel that in detail explains the history. Since your Belgian. You will appreciate Sabaton song Race to the Sea. And associated history youtube video. The ship captain I s the son of the last Bismark survivior, the ship is named primo victory after Sabatons song about D day1944, it is remoured that they made this video above the Bismark's final resting place. SABATON and their label, nuclear blast, do not copy right strike reaction videos as they learned a long time ago it's free promotion, be sure to give them credit and thanks. It's power metal but it's all historical and reality based, except some of the cover songs they've done. Sabaton are one of the best story telling bands in the world. They don't glorify war which is probably why they are so successful. They present the facts as recorded by history. Winged Hussars is probably their most memed song because I don't think there is a single Sabaton video that doesn't have some reference to it. Swedish Pagans is beloved by fans the world over. There are so many amazing songs though. They have songs about most of the major well known heroes from WW1 and 2. They have songs from the view point of just about every nation that has engaged in major conflict. They have one called ballad of Bull which is probably their most unique song because it's about a guy who became a hero without firing a shot, about the Aussie stretcher bearer Leslie "Bull" Allen. He received a silver star from the United States military for his actions. Really starting anywhere in the Sabaton catalogue is great because they have been so fucking prolific. One of their albums has the honour of being the most successful Swedish heavy metal album ever and of course it would be because it is done in English and Swedish and every song on the album "Carolus Rex" is a banger. Hell I listen to it in Swedish and I don't even speak it, it's that fucking good.

It's cool that you pay attention to every detail, 99% of reactors don't even catch the detail with the coordinates on the compass. And I like that you are following the lyrics, most of Sabaton's songs either have captions on their more famous MV's, or they have 2 versions of a song, one being a "Lyric Video" version, which is better for reactors who enjoy the lyrics.

Sabaton is a Swedish band with a loooong list of history based music.
Sabaton also has an award winning history channel that gives background to over 120 if their songs (not music award, academic, aimed at education of the public) .
Sabaton videos are often have dedictions and/or messages at the end, perhaps not always but... watching to the very end is frequently well worth it.
Animated STORY videos (short Animated history lessons with music videos in them)
No bullets fly ,enemy show mercy to injured foes
Night witches, young women who fight the Nazi and do it with insane success afains all odss and adversity (discrimination, being given obsolete equipment...)
    Lady of the dark
Red baron , the famous fighter pilot .
first soldier , about a unlikely French war hero.
    Epic ORIGINAL videos.
You just saw Bismark, about the sinking of the ship
Christmas truce, about the spontaneous truce in some parts of the western front during Christmas 1914
40:1, about polish soldiers, badly outnumbered (just under 750 in all) facing 42 000 germans, they where BADLY outgunned desperately defending against the German invasion 1939 (with odds actually close to 55:1 they held for 3 DAYS when ammunition and supplies ran out.
Uprising, the Warsaw Uprising against the nazi germans during 1944.
To hell and back, they tell the story of Audie Murphy (highly decorated) and his struggle AFTER the war, so about PTSD and drug addiction that returning soldiers can face.
Fields of verdun, the 300+ day long battle fought there.
Price of a mile, about the battle of Passchendaele

    Defence of Moscow, self explained

You don't really need to pause sabaton's videos, they love reaction videos to their songs. Take as an example chainbrain, he played sabaton songs live for over an hour and multiple times played an entite album and has not gotten a single copyright claim.
Multiple videos which are 10hours of a single song are uploaded and no copyright claim, they have commented on a few reaction videos made to their songs thanking the person who did a reaction video❤

As a retired combat veteran I **LOVE** Sabaton's music. They tell the *TRUE* stories from war, and they don't "take sides" - they tell true tales of heroism, mercy, and valor. If I may request - my fav is "No Bullets Fly" (the 8min 50second animated story video) - it tells the true story of a WWII German fighter pilot who saw a *severely* damaged B-17 (American 4-engined bomber) and flew in to finish it off. But when he got closer he could see it was shot to pieces and that the wounded crew was tending to the OTHER wounded crew. He could not shoot it down - so, instead he ESCORTED IT out of Germany to safety. Then, 40 years later the two pilots met and became very close friends.

They even have a history channel where they break down the history behind the songs.....

Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Sabbaton! Hope you like it here, we got cookies and metal! :D Sabaton are masters of storytelling and the way that they keep history alive through music is incredible. I've been a Sabaton fan since the early 2000's and I hope you will find the same joy in listening to their music as I have. You've already gotten some really good suggestions but one of my favourite songs is The Last Stand. A song about the attack on Rome in the 1500's.

"Primo Victoria" is the name of the boat and their first studio album. The title song is about D-Day.
A good movie to understand the Battle of the Atlantic is the 1960 movie "Sink the Bismarck". It was one of my inspirations to enlist in the US Navy in 1984.
That boat captain is the IRL son of the Bismarck survivor depicted.
I like to call Sabaton - Valor Metal.

Fun thing is, i first even heard about sabaton when i was at a festival, gates of metal 2005, they didn't sound amazing or anything, played the small stage, but WHAT catched my ear back then was that they were playing a comedic swedish song: långa bollar på bengt, long balls on bengt.
And i kept an eye on them and just grew more and more into them as they progressed, and that is still ongoing. They don't stop growing on me because of their standpoint on war and how they glorify regular people in them but also make kickass music from historical points is amazing, not to mention they are insanely good musicians and performers.
They LITERALLY bring people from other countries together more than other bands, i have been to their own festival 5 times, the last 3 times i was there when they played the swedish En livstid i krig i got into groups of people from all over europe singing it in swedish.
Also i think you would love: En Livstid I Krig live in gothenburg, have subtitles on and mind the feels in that song!

If I’m not mistaken the guy who had the compass in the beginning (the guy who was on the ship before the band arrived) is the actual son of the Bismarcks captain who was given the compass with the coordinates engraved as it was sinking. His dad perished but he survived and they actually got him to be in the music video

  • @patrickdasp5609
    @patrickdasp5609 Před 5 měsíci +1

The Bismarck was one of the biggest warships of that time.
The cannons they used on the ship are of the same type standing at the shores of the Normandy.
Also it is rumored to be called a "he" while all other ships are "she" and the way it sunk is still a little mystery. Some say the British navy was able to sink it while others think the crew sank the Bismarck by themself to avoid letting the enemy salvage it and getting new information.
Also there was the second ship of the Bismarck class called Tirpitz which also got a song. But this time by the German metal core band Heaven Shall Burn.
And as we are close to Christmas may give "Christmas Truce" from Sabaton a try. Telling the story from WW1 when soldiers from both sides decided to stop the shooting on Christmas day, talking to each others, exchanging presents, sang songs and also played soccer.

    • @richardwest6358
      @richardwest6358 Před 5 měsíci

ALL German warships were referred to as HE. There is no mystery about the sinking. After the torpedoes from the Royal Navy Swordfish biplanes had damaged the steering Bismark was never going to escape. After being pounded & suffering heavy casualties the seacocks were opened and the ship was skuttled deliberately

    • @patrickdasp5609
      @patrickdasp5609 Před 5 měsíci

      @@richardwest6358 Nope.
      Take Scharnhorst, Tirpitz, Prinz Eugen.
They all go by the she pronoun in German which is "Die".
Only when you use the type of ship like cruiser, battle ship and so on in German it is then either he (der) or neutral (das).

I too thinks its him from his time onboard the bismarck but it could be his son since if he was on bismarck during ww2 he would be like 90 when the filming took place. (at the time) Bismarck was the largest naval vessel ever created. Obviously it was powerful, but story of bismarck is more about symbolism.. It was great honor for the germans. It was also great importance for UK to sink it. Churchill wanted that boat destroyed any means necessary, before it can go from germany to artic ocean. There was a large hunt for the ship, while bismarck tried to hide Norways ports during its travel. Then they found it. And yes, like the song, they sank it.

It's really cool.. The line "They are bound by iron and blood"
Was a throw back to the original man named Bismarck who unified Germany in 1871 after Prussia (The biggest germen state) won a war against the arch enemy France.
In his legendary speech he said: "The big questions of the time will not be decided through speeches or majority decisions, but through iron and blood."
Bismarck just had that specific thing to rule a country.. The strongest country at the time with the British Empire. He was a realistic person.. Not optimistic and not pessimistic..
Of course peace is cool and all that stuff.. Bismarck loved peace.. But at the end of the day.. You can't satisfy everyone.. And humanity will fight eventually. Now that doesn't mean you should talk at first.. But at the end of the day.. Iron and blood will decide. That's our sin..
    Greetings from Germany 😂❤

A little more info on the bismarck that the song and video leave out:
When bismarck placed a direct hit on Hoods deck and ignited the ammunition on board, and prince of whales i believe it was, took more damage from Bismarck, prince of whales retreated for repair, the royal navy sent all available boats with the simple order to "sink the bismarck" and then the real fight began, planes dropping torpedos, one torpedo stuck the rudder in a turned position causing bismarck to just go in circles, it became a sitting duck, taking (last numbers i read) 700 shells from the royal navy, and 8 torpedos before the crew on board the bismarck was ordered to scuttle the ship as they knew there was no chance

The amazing thing about Sabaton is that you'll find a French crowd singing along with a Swedish band in English to a song about the Germans fighting the Russians. But it's not all just World Wars either, there are great songs about everything from ancient Greece ("Sparta") to the sack of Rome ("The Last Stand") to the Battle of Vienna in 1623 ("Winged Hussars") to the Satsuma Rebellion in Japan ("Shiroyama"), plus songs about individual soldiers ("82nd All the Way" about Alvin York, "To Hell and Back" about Audie Murphy, "Carolus Rex" about King Charles XII of Sweden, and "White Death" about Finnish sniper Simo Hayha, among others). So many amazing songs... plus you'll learn a shocking amount of war trivia just from the lyrics.
