Handing over the flag and telling someone they’re going home is one of the most powerful moments of life.
I don’t want to be pessimistic, but with people now. They couldn’t care less about the very states they live in and basically end up backstabbing the U.S.

I knew some SEALs personally in 1997 - I know that she was the ONLY important thing to them. Mission accomplishment comes before all other factors.

When they were giving the orders to come get you, you became the most important person in the world. They all would of died to save you. God bless America, and the Navy Seals.
She also asked for their names and to see their faces. The Seals never said their names nor showed their faces. They also put her on the first helicopter out of there and stayed back to secure the location and catch the next lift out. To this day she has no idea who they are.

When navy seals parachute in darkness, you know shit is hitting the fan soon.
Parachuted in darkness, middle of the night, landed, proceeded to kill EVERYBODY in the compound in a few minutes firefight, rescues Jessica AND another Danish man, and extracts them out safely. I think the whole operation took a total of 20-30 minutes. The US asked for video confirmation Jessica was alive, they sent it, soon as we got the video confirmation the Seals were deployed.

I am also from Military family. My grandfather was in Indian Navy, My one Maternal uncle was in Indian Army. My one maternal cousin sister is Mi17 V5 Helicopter Pilot and Recently promoted to Group Captain Rank which is equipment to Colonel in Army.

I served 17 years of active duty in the army. I was airborne. Also served with the 75 Rangers. I had a lot of combat in my days. I met a fee navy seal; they are the real deal. As rangers, we trained together, and sometimes we work together. When an elite unit gets a call for rescue Americans, we take that very seriously.

You might hear about them some but most times you do not hear any recognition that Delta/CAG or whatever you want to call them did something usually just generically said special operations troops.

People always ask how effective our Military really is, other countries and some of our own people laugh at our military, but Jessica said it best : “I heard a scratch, Helper heard it too, I looked at Helper and he had a look of sheer terror on his face”. The Somali pirates didn’t know they were SEALs, all they knew before their deaths were the American Military was there.
I started to tear up when she was told "Jessica, we're here to take you home." Proud to be an American. I did try to enlist but i already had ptsd so i wad Denied. But can go if didnt already have just able to come back with it among other mental and physical injuries, just to be neglected by the government. Sweden here. This is really touching and beautiful in its horrific way. We have nothing like it. We are left to our own devices. However, if there is something I wish for, it is that governments would take care of the people in need in their own countries too. There is a disconnect between the lengths they go to save their own in situations like this and the care provided to those in need at home. It is truly beautiful to see such dedication. I just wish the same fervor could be applied to saving lives at home with life-saving healthcare and assistance for those captive to other struggles.

I know a man who was in the special forces. It is an honor. They are amazing people. Really I have never felt safer than when I’m in the presence of all of my family and friends that were in the military. Thank you to anyone who has ever served in any branch of our military.

I was at a base very close by and watch these SEALS practicing the jump. In Florida the SEALS that invaded Panama were at our training area practicing with a whole bunch of comms and guards. We knew nothing but one morning as I was driving into work I heard we invaded Panama, I got to work and they were all gone😂

@@qwerty-ic6uv 2 SAS operatives were taken hostage and tortured whilst it was broadcasted British command said they can’t get them out SAS ignored command launched all out assault against the captures lost no one and rescued there guys. British soldiers are good as well

I think that the resources available is more dependent on the country with Britain having a more freedom of command approach to americas chain of command style

FYI the vast majority of the people who serve in the military today will NEVER have their lives in Jeopardy, or are you one of those people who thinks everyone serves on the 'front line?'
