In order to understand mid ladder difficulty, play mario kart. First to third in mario kart is pretty relaxing save for the occasional blue or red shell. Fourth down it’s star power, bullet bills, piranha plants, super mushrooms, lightning, bloopers, bobombs… Just a wild mess of people trying to smash their way out of the middle pack.
