Yeti sounds like the fan favourite.
Blizzard and the Yeti will be the mascot
Utah Outlaws, Utah Yetis, some like Mammoths. Fury or Frozen Fury (like those exhibitions games they'd host here) are another option. Blizzard is decent, but a bit generic. Prefer something unique.
I think that the Blizzard name sounds perfectly formal & heavy to introduce the team.
Utah Fighting Night hawks, Utah Ice Dragons, Utah Scorpions, and Utah Snow Foxes.

I am running from site to site advancing a name that begins SL to represent Salt Lake. And stating a case for it. Slog means "hit hard" as in strike, slug. It also refers to "working hard" which you want a team to do. UTAH SLOG. I am also petitioning AGAINST the use of longer titles like SLOGGER and especially against anything ending in "S". SLOGGERS is redundant, SLOG is more forceful. Start with a name. The logo and colors will follow. There are lots of SL words to choose from.
