How I miss the SP........ Never...... will there be another like her!

The UP engine ruined this lash up, but then the BN saved it! Lol

UNION PACIFIC had rotary beacons on thier GP9' SD40''s SD9's GE's SWITCHERS back then! i saw them! they's on the films made of early diesels of UP!
The SP last had the mars light package in 1992 I beleive
@1XRanger Probably didn't have much to pick since SP started phasing them out in the late 80s when they installed rotary beacons on their units!
The Southern Pacific used Pyle-National "Gyralite"s on their locomotives. The union Pacific did not use a rotating signal light. After the U.P./S.P. merger the Pyle ocsculating signal lights were removed by the U.P.

Was that taken with a super 8mm w sound or a camcorder? because it looks like the video frames alittle bit.Cool stuff though especially the hobo.....
why did the sp and kcs get rid of the mars lites
Lots of empties. Was this one going north to Eugene?
