  • This vehicle is a 2006 Honda Accord with high milage symptoms are engine will not crank , all you hear is the clicking sound from the engine starter motor. Tools I used Power pro VI for the test of engine ground. Vantage Ultra from Snap On Tools used to test Power in the starter signal wire to the people doest know that's is the small wire that goes on the starter connection. the test pass as good connection... meaning that the Ignition Switch, starter Relay, transmission neutral switch all of them are good and the tests proof that...my recommendation is too replace the engine starter motor and replace the battery...also I used a brand new yellow top optima gel battery to ruler out the battery the battery problem...
NOTE: In this video I don't explain and show how to test engine ground with the Power PRO IV but you can do this test with any Volt Meter and this is how! first you need someone to be inside the vehicle to turn the ignition switch to start position in the mean time you are in engine holding the two test lied one in battery negative and the other test lied in contact with any part of the Engine block , head, aluminum intake manifold etc . watch the meater voltage went your helper turn the ignition switch to start position . If you have high Voltage like 5.0, 7.0, 4.0 voltage that means you have a bad engine ground ... the signal wire wish is the small wire on the starter connector. so lets say that went the helper turn the ignition switch to start position your Volt meter read 5.0 and all the vehicles should start with at least 10.0 volts... so lets go back at the reading of 5.0 volts that reading you have to subtract from the battery voltage wish is 12.0 volts so 5 -12 = 7.0 volts the result will be a single click on the starter solenoid and the engine will not crank. this link is how to do the Engine ground test with the Power PRO IV : • 2000 Caddy deville won...
