Back in the self titled days especially, you could get a lot closer to the stage. We used to be able to touch stages at shows. They stage dived MANY times at shows and not just Sid. I've caught him twice and Chris as well. Clown would jump as well and was much heavier to catch lol. Got jacked up doing it once as Sid was high up and hit us hard.
Their early shows were ten times the Insanity. They would fight on stage, throw the barrels into each other, later on set each other on fire, regularly puke and "other" things on stage. Also remember NOBODY knew what they looked like. No names either, just numbers which added to the chaos. The pits were EPIC 🤘
It's hella hard to pick one concert favorite for the self titled album but Surfacing is my number one. It was written by Joey and Paul too which is awesome. RIP brothers🤘🤘

Corey mask that you asked about is from the gray chapter era, some of the members changing thier masks during the album tours. Like corey changed his wanyk weird plastic mask to the new one hes wearing now. I love that gray chapter mask btw, one of my fav.
Yes I've been in a moshpit of a Slipknot/Slayer show in the most cruel town of the Netherlands Rotterdam. And I can tell you it was from another planet. I went home wrecked and I liked it. Two broken ribs and bruesed all the way, but this was at least 15 years ago. Nowadays (I'm 51) I just watch how new metal youth goes nuts and I like to be in this role while I enjoy the music and the vibe.

I saw Slipknot and Slayer co-headlining at a festival together. It was a great show, but there's no way in hell I was getting in that pit! You're much braver than I am.
@@ResurrectionDreams 😄 I was brave, I'm retired from the moshpits now. It has been a wonderful time, but I'm getting too old for that kind of things. I have a family to provide and recovery from moshpits take more time than it used to 😅

I've been on Slipknot's concert twice. Never been on the mosh pit, though, because I enjoy watching the concert, sing along and headbanging. Hehe. But it's not as scary as you might think, people are actually pretty nice. My favorite live song is The Pulse of Maggots, love the intro live. Haha!
I saw Slipknot live twice, once in 2009 and once at Mayhem Fest 2012, but I'm not a mosh pit person at all. Favorite songs to hear live for me is probably People=Sh*t, (sic), and Purity.

Just saw them with my son on Tuesday where I live and it was the second time I've gotten to see them. It was amazing, flames and fireworks and flaming bats and sid being sid. It was crazy they do such a good show. Better catch them before they retire. Also my favorite song is people=shit live.

I just discovered your channel and have watched a few of your Slipknot reaction videos, and they are really fun and amusing to watch, haha. I have a suggestion, it would be fun to see you react to the band Frankenstein Drag Queens, or the Murderdolls if you haven't already.
For a little background information, these two bands have the same lead singer and very similar music style, and Joey from Slipknot used to play the guitar in Murderdolls.
First saw the 'knot was 21 years ago (I was 18), at Leeds festival. Sometime around 4pm, August bank holiday, they took to the stage and - needless to say - madness ensued 🤪 been a Maggot ever since!
Though it's not my favourite, there's no denying the anthemic quality of 'Duality'. Everybody, all together now: I push my fingers into my EYYYYEEEEESS 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Wait and bleed 11:24 is also a song the hear live... Pinhead produces the crazy "808" bass drops that you hear at the live shows, and at the end of this song he has the amphitheaters, and ears vibrating form the lower frequency
To answer your question about the mystery mask, it is from the Gray Chapter. It's a variation from his original .5 mask
The corey mask you were asking about was the gray chapter v2 mask, he had a new one made halfway through the tour
I've been at only one slipknot concert, in 2015 rock in rio. Best show of my life. I'll see them again next year at knotfest brazil.

I think you should react to Slipknot's tribute video for Paul Gray, because it was something really special, and what's more it has Paul's interview that happened time before he passed, and there he talks about his experiences in the band and how he feels about his partners in the band, so as you can see there are a lot of interesting things that happen in that video, so it would be great if you check it out.

I have seen Slipknot 5 times when they do jump the fuck up everywhere is a mosh pit. The Heretic Anthem is the best epic song to see live!
I saw Slipknot at the amphitheater in Stl a few weeks after leg surgery. So sadly I couldn’t partake in any mosh pits, the free handicapped parking was nice lol, but I still tried getting down, and jumped up during Spit It Out.
My favorite song back then that they played was Dead Memories or Duality.
I doubt Corey’s neck gets sore, it’s bigger than mine and a 21” dress shirt is TIGHT on me.😂

I’ve been in a spit it out mosh pit when they all jump. It was insane, although I fucked up and wore flip flops. So the next day my feet doubled in size and both my big toe nails got kicked backwards by the end of it.
My first concert (Slipknot or otherwise) was actually this past Tuesday, it was a blast! As for my favorite live song, that’s a difficult choice that I really can’t make at this moment. 😂

Corey had two .5 sculpts. The one he debuted with is the one you're familiar with, and then around the time he had neck surgery he debuted that second one. It's closer to an actual human face in my opinion, but they both had a top mask and and undermask. What you saw was the undermask.
As far as I know they never did any professional shoots with that mask so it probably wouldn't be in any of the photos you look at before the .5 songs
