I love the amount of respect you give to these snakes! You treat them like they are a human like they should be treated. You have helped me so much with my fear of snakes. When kids see a snake at my school they try to kill it and I yell, “No! Don’t kill it! It has a life too!”some places don’t respect snakes at all and treat them like a, well, a doll

I see so many youtube channels and instagram accounts with people who just act so inhumane towards their snakes (and other reptiles) like they’re nothing, throwing eggs on the ground because they look infertile (I mean you never know right?) and poke in the eggs and even take the snakes out. I love snakes but I just cannot watch those videos because the people are so horrible. Emily really loves all these beautiful creatures too and she takes such good care of them with Ed!
I love how she said she was going to bring the umbilical cord with the little guy too, it’s like something a mother would say about her child’s blankie or pacifier. Adorable.
I love how the snakes are always assuming when Emily comes to their tank that its to feed them.

I just love how passionate you are about your snakes! So often, I see snake breeders treat their snakes like inanimate objects, but it's obvious you really care for your pets and know a lot about them. Your videos always cheer me up, even after a difficult day.
(also you're 100% right about little broken off limbs and tails in the frozen mice packages. never know what to do with them even though there's so many; my hognose is too big to even consider them as food)

My ribbon snake Salazar passed away last night 😢 so heart broken. He was showing signs of an RI so booked him into the vets but he started fitting 2 hours before his appointment and didn’t make it 😔. Wish I was closer I would have loved one of these babies ❤️ they are so beautiful x

Once I was taking a walk and I found a wounded garter snake. I was in 2nd grade and had no idea what to do but I knew that it wasn't right to just leave it there. I picked it up and I now see that it was just a baby, it stricked and I flinched but continued to carry it home. My mom said she didn't know what to do, so I looked up on CZcams how to take care of a wounded snake. Your channel was the 1st video I saw,thanks to you that baby garter is alive and kicking we asked an expert later that month where to release him (since my mom said I couldn't keep him/her) and then we released him back home. That day was the day my love for snakes began and it all because of you and stripey (the garter snakes name). So thank you!

Manoj Vasanth I think the babys don't have big fangs yet and if they did it would probably be like a pinch because they are so tiny, and I think the adult snakes are used to her handling them so they don't bite her unless she bothers them alot and/or annoyes them

This is a really old comment, but some genetic diseases can occur within hybrids and they can have health issues. Sometimes chromosomes (bits of DNA that code for several genes, like color or scalelessness) don't match up, since a parent of one species may have a different number than the other parent. for example, this is what causes mules to be sterile (can't have babies) since the horse parent has a different number of chromosomes than the donkey. Hybridization is actually more common in plants, as some can make their gametes (pollen or egg) have multiple sets of chromosomes! That is called polyploidy and it's super cool!
It really isn't a hybrid in the true sense the species of gardener snake that she is talking about they are still gardener snakes but they are like subcategories but they're not completely different species it's should be like crossing a poodle poodle to a lab

Do snakes escape sometimes?
Yes they do I have a garter snake that likes to escape (he is a rescue he was crawling up my leg and I adopted him due to him being too nice)
Yep. Escapes aren't dangerous to people or animals (aside the snake of course, and any small mammals like pest rodents that may fall prey to the escaped noodle) but they are a little bit of a hassle.

I didnt know any snakes can be housed together because of stress and such. Are garters a social animal or are they just housed for breeding and the like? If it was mentioned in the video I missed it, my bad.
They are extremely social, she's mentioned it in previous videos, it causes no stress and makes them happier then if they were alone. ^_^
Garter snakes are very social and actually seem to do better in groups rather than alone. They're one of the only snakes that can be housed in groups.

You know, typically when you’re the only person on 1 side of the argument and don’t have any facts that can be traced to a reliable source (we don’t know who these “professionals” you speak of are), usually you’re the one whose wrong. That’s just in my experience. If you have some specific sources, you probably should mention them.
