the reason the center fielder just stayed their is because the corners are suppost to back him up
garrett byers Exactly---in baseball, on a play like this, you are never supposed to clean up your own mess.
BuckGreywolfe he said SUPPOST
Ok BUT DOESNT MEAN HE DOES NOT HAVE TO Hustle!!!!!!!!!
I never really realized how slow Raph was until watching this game and this play 🤣
Been trying to find video of this since it happened. of course one of the few home games I have missed this season
Awesome, gotta love Inside the park Home Run.
First game I went to this season. 4 HR's for the Tigers including this exciting one.
Catcher didn't even flinch haha
AMAZING!!!
dude no way cricket is fun as heck man. played it one time and i cant get enough
so good, I like it
If Bregman were running those bases, it would not have been close.
That was going to be a difficult play for the center fielder anyway---but why didn't the right fielder hustle to cut off the ball?
This guy plays in the detroit tigers foundation and actually plays in our local single a team, the West Michigan Whitecaps.
Cool
lowest level of the worst club, but making more money than me and doing what he loves. Awesome for him
Ærik Bjørnsson worst club? you talking about the tigers? haha what do think there are only a couple teams in the league or something?
27 savage everything from Detroit is the worst ever because Detroit is the worst ever
Ray Frymes had a fantastic junior year and batted over .400 for the season. Don't know what happened his senior year; he was anything but clutch, and hit into * gasp * 16 DP's.
Catcher lifted his arm to flip the player over. He deserves one in his ear.
Wow poor baseball knowledge in comments
I’ll show something tonight that you have poor knowledge about. ;)
Looks like shaggy.
I like doing cartwheels too in celebration when I hit a HR
damn that was pretty crazy
That was crazy
Why the heck did the center fielder just stand there?
***** How ironic that you have a baseball as your avatar yet don't know the answer to such a basic question.
Lol
Then your coach sucks my high school coach who played college ball always says never give up on the play. It's like if you knock the ball down to your left you just give up on it and make the second baseman pick it up instead of not trying to get the play. Your team must suck if you just give up on the ball
+TeamChallenge that's not the same situation. If you're a right or left fielder, you go to get the ball if you miss it on a dive. But if you're the center fielder and miss it on a dive, you let the corner outfielder closer to you get it instead
Cool
hame?
ooopsss. It was too close to get the home run
One good homer
He looks like the villain in a Disney channel movie
DAMN
Back block body drop- the Naitch Woooooooooooo!
He's pretty fast!!
Kassidy Cooley Ray Phrymes was the man!
"He didn't do anything wrong" -- uh yeah, he was standing on the line without the ball. A few feet inside the line and you don't contact the runner.
@Lincoln Hackim and yet, it was ruled obstruction...because he did not tag the runner.
@Lincoln Hackim - But he didn’t have the ball yet. The runner got there before the ball did. Type A obstruction.
why?
Was he save or out?
He is safe, it was an obstruction call on the catcher for purposely getting in the runners way of the base path, when he pointed at the runner, he was pointing at the collision and then him pointing at the plate which shows the base he automatically takes
he was safe, the catcher interfered with him getting to home plate and he didnt have the ball with him and he wasnt getting the ball as he was in the way
Does that even count as a home run, or is it a triple plus an extra base awarded for interference?
Jivan Scarano they'll give him the home run there.
If the center fielder had touched the ball, it would have been a base hit with a 3 base error.
2th?
I'm guessing they didn't score it as a homerun because of the obstruction call.
It is a home run, because he would have been safe at the plate easily if not for the obstruction.
@@AEMoreira81 The official scorer is very liberal with putting a positive spin for any play at LSU if possible.
was there.
Sure you were
+PipZ101- Clash Of Clans lol y would he lie about being at a ball game?
+matt coo you just have to ignore the trolls.
+matt coo i wasnt i was saying sure he was there i believe you or was i
ouch, the flip must of hhurt but worth it
cricket is worlds 2nd largest hame
2th= tooth?
secondeth
Looks like Heath Slater the one man band
Out look at the ump
The umpire is awarding the runner home plate because the catcher was illegally blocking the runner's path to home. He pointed at the catcher, then pointed at home plate.
I'm number 4 in baseball
wtf is a 2th?
92k
the umpire said he's out
No, he pointed at the runner, then pointed home.
Translation: "You get this base."
+Isabella Castelli : Apparently you're totally clueless of the umpire signals.
+Isabella Castelli he called interference/blocking.
+BFRLagreca The correct term is obstruction. Obstruction is when a fielder blocks the path to a base without the ball. Interference can only be called on a runner.
+BFRLagreca no learn to baseball
He didn't jump over the catcher the catcher flipped him
We know lol read the title
Nobody said he did
Not an inside the park.....a triple and a obstruction
To era
because crickey plays cant hack in at baseball
that dude is slow af
at 0.28 they said he's out
Na, bruh. The signal [points at runner] indicates the runner, then points at the plate, which indicates 'you get this base'. An out isn't a point, it's a clenched fist.
+Mykal Ridikulus learn to baseball
Do you mean 0 29
+Aleksei Gemsky
I did. That's exactly wtf he did, dumbass.
Pause it if you need to.
He points distinctly, at both. Now watch any given of the 27 outs in a game.
Clenched. Fucking. Fist.
Even on a strikeout.
He is so slow
daniel tautai And that's why he's playing pro ball and you're playing on you the computer..
Corey Caillet that was college baseball
I know it was colege baseball... I'm from baton Rouge. I was at that game.
its not pro ball its d1 college lol
Raph was one of the slower players on the team.
Cricket? Pah! It's all about Croquet if you're a real alpha male....
catcher blocked the plate to get the ball, runner should not be rewarded home
College rules say you do.
Ok one sec. The ump should have called him out, which he should because your not allowed to jump over a fielder. Jumping over the catcher is against the rules, even if it looks cool.
sheefra If the catcher is in the basepath- wtf else is he supposed to do?
sheefra The catcher can't block the baseline either...
NickTrickMC The throw was off a bit that's why the catcher went up the base path. It's actually allowed.
sheefra Interference was called on the catcher since he did not have the ball...as such, the runner was awarded home plate.
First of all, it is NOT against the rules for him to jump over the catcher. Second of all, he didn't jump over him. He ran into him and got flipped. The catcher was standing in the base path without possession of the baseball when the collision occured, therefore the runner would've been awarded home plate if he had been tagged out.
Wwwwwwwwwwe
Why if hit pp need out if not I'm will pay ball throw face hmmm
