I bought a nw700 couple years ago seriously the best bass from a soundbar without a subwoofer I've heard from Samsung
Fair enough!
Which Soundbar would you recommend for good bass at low volumes? I’ve tried a couple but none come close to my 6 year old LG NB3530A. Atmos too would be an advantage
Depends on the budget, check the description for some suggestions
tx for your informative review..
can i connect this soundbar with samsung subs from hometheater (dvd blueray connector)?
Glad you liked the review! As for connecting with external subs, as far as I'm aware you can only connect to the SWA-W500.
I bought a Samsung TV on black Friday and I have the exact same soundbar which came free as part of a promotion.
Annoyingly they delivered the soundbar over a week ago and I'm still waiting for the actual TV...
I haven't used mine yet, but I'm glad that it's an OK bit of kit.
I'm not a big audiophile guy so I'm just happy that it's a reasonable upgrade over inbuilt TV speakers.
Now I just need the new Lord of the Rings 4k blu rays to come back into stock!
Haha love it! Glad you liked the review. Which TV did you get?
@@TotallydubbedHD Went for the Q80t in the end. Its the midrange QLED option but has the 120hz and VRR I was looking for to pair with my Series X. Thanks for the video.
@@Buffinator1988 ah interesting; how comes you didn't go for Sony or Panasonic?
Yamaha YAS 209 vs Denon DHT-S316 vs Polk Command bar vs Samsung HW Q60T - which one sounds the best? Please help me as this decision is very confusing!
Not tried the others, aside from the Q60T, so can't comment!
which is the best position for u ? i though to install it under attached to my tv with a bracket
Facing towards you, head level is ideal. Under the TV should be fine on this model
With the bass and treble settings and the speaker channel volume, does adjusting this make a difference with the sound
I'm confused, what do you mean? Adjusting the EQ/levels will of course change the sound.
Hi , does this always need to be with the cable or can i use it as a portable speaker aswell?
It's not a portable speaker haha - needs power.
How about S61A ? Is it worth a buy for movies ? Haven't got any reviews in CZcams to decide. If you can help please
No idea, not tried it!
hello thank you for your reviews hear what you think about the Samsung HW-q800t? thanks
Not tried it, but looking to get it in at some point.
@@TotallydubbedHD Hi thanks I would have pointed to the Samsung HW-N850 / ZA but it is nowhere to be found, the 80r is full of problems with hdmi, I have read a lot of reviews about the 800t and they are good, of course there are limits in the mid frequencies, and uninvolving surround but if the rest goes well, you can gloss over I hope you combine to try the 800t
@@dinospoleadore3988 likewise, do hope that will be sooner rather than later :)
is there any chance you might be able to review LG24GL600F ?
Would be great to, but LG haven't (ever) sent me a soundbar for review, so probably not; Samsung bars are also frustratingly hard to source, too.
looking for a budget soundbar to hear dialogue better, from regular tv and shows and movies alike. What would you suggest.
This would would be a good'un
@@TotallydubbedHD this is still around 400 euros in my area, any cheaper alternatives?
@@federico6432 check the description
For films and tv what setting for sounds do you recommend
Check the video for my settings/thoughts
How would the bass be for a small to mid room size?
I mean what size you talking about? Again this doesn't have a subwoofer so bear that in mind
Bass on this device is very bad. Returned mine for this very reason. Sounds nothing more than a glorified TV speaker
Samsung hw s60t vs Yamaha yas 109
The better of the two?
Recommendation please
No idea about the 109.
After months of frustration since my purchase on Black Friday I can't with conscience recommend the YAS 109 to anyone and would warn to be wary if you are considering purchasing it. The sound bar has beautiful sound. I can't imagine any one being displeased with what they hear. Feature wise it sounds good, but when you unbox you discover the control panel requires a magnifying glass to read as it's both obscure and microscopic. This is of little consequence once set up if you only use remote. If you are locating on a horizontal surface below tv... N/P on the wall below tv N/P. If like myself you need to attach to a stand off wall tv mount the key hole slots v/s absence of screw socket fasteners make it a very impractical and a nightmare product to install. My exasperatingly bad experience was it would power off without warning at least every 2-3hrs and multiple times daily if it were watched @week ends. No amount of unplug/reboot originally recommended resolved.
Yamaha customer service were responsive to my issue. But it took numerous exchanges to establish they required proof of purchase and an actual photograph of the serial # on the sound bar vs receipt or on the actual shipping box etc. Information they could have established in their first email instead of taking 5 emails and 3 weeks + to get to established. I have such distaste from my whole experience dealing with Yamaha after being referred by the dealer because the unit was defective I'm saying no to having Yamaha in the house again.
@@takata98 thanks for sharing your experience! Did you get the issue resolved in the end?
I'm not very good with technology! Can you please advise about my complete inability to stop this soundbar from turning itself off every 15 minutes as a power saving feature. It's driving me mad. When I look it up it says to turn the auto power off. It doesn't have an auto power button! Apparently you can't disable it with some soundbars. Well if this is one of them it's going back! Thank you.
That's a good question; not an issue I had when testing the soundbar, so I'd say reach out to the retailer or Samsung for further comment; sorry I couldn't be of more help!
@@TotallydubbedHD thank you anyway for the prompt reply. We were originally listening with the sound coming through the large speakers that we have because we felt the sound coming from the tv speaker was pretty poor. But of course my partner decided he wanted a soundbar. Personally I preferred the speakers. So yes we will look into this further because I'm not happy! But thanks again.
@@pennypumpkin66 pleasure; let me know how you get on :)
Best settings for channel volume : side level, rear level ? ... Plsss tell me
See video
The sound on my Samsung soundbar is barely better than the Samsung 65" Q80 series QLED TV's sound. I have it hooked up via HDMI-ARC. Actually, the TV has just as good bass response. I am buying the SWA-W500 subwoofer to pair with it soon.
I replaced a 60" LG 8600 series TV with this Samsung. The LG went dead. Immediately after I replaced the TV, I noticed how much better the LG TV sound was (with no soundbar), than the Samsung 65" TV with a soundbar. Kudo's to LG for actually having really good sound on a stock TV.
Find that very hard to believe - something mustn't be right there.
Mine keep say network disconnect Ed can you help
Best contacting Samsung tech support.
Is 'acoustic beam technology' considered atmos?
Definitely not!
@@TotallydubbedHD do the upfiring speakers work all the time? I just spoke to customer support via chat for samsung, they're telling me mixed messages. Saying it has Dolby Atmos which I don't think is true
@@casanova1012 that's definitely not the case haha. Oh dear at Samsung support. As far as I'm aware it doesn't have upward firing speakers, just the holes at the top they diffuse audio waves (beam technology) around the room.
@@TotallydubbedHD thanks for clarifying, I have a Sonos beam atm that I'm considering switching. They're both pretty good contenders
@@casanova1012 the beam isn't that great imo
Hi, I bought the smaller version of this and Im taking it back tomorrow...I find the extremely loud American womans voice overpowering and I could not turn it off...very annoying and I note from your demo this one does the same. Thanks therefore for saving me the trouble of buying this one instead.
Yes the voice commands are pretty loud, HOWEVER, if you go to 04:57, you can see a toggle which allows you to disable audio feedback. Does yours not have the same?
@@TotallydubbedHD hey thanks for replying. I bought the HW-S40T which doesnt have wifi so no app works with it. I honestly thought me small tv sound was as good. I took it back to currys today and bought the Sony HT-X85000 wich I think has a much better sound and the dolby atmos stuff. Ive now subscribed and will check out your other videos..cheers
@@thedicksons1284 cheers! And thanks for sharing :)
which is better? this or the sonos beam?
Not tried the beam, so I'd say this.
Yes Samsung baby
I just got this in and am shipping it back asap. It's not powerful enough to replace my old Sony HT-CT.
Not powerful enough? As in volume?
Is it wall mountable?
yes
This or jbl 5.1 ?
The 5.1, unless vocals are paramount then the Samsung
@@TotallydubbedHD I want a soundbar that gives me good vocals and surround movies. Give me your advice, I'm confused
