Wow I'm really impressed, Ross was singing and dancing at the same time, I do not know if he really played guitar, but it was incredible, He did almost perfect the choreography, the truth that very few artists do all this.

I'm really impressed by the fact they sang live! I didn't expect it after watching the Descendants 2 performances on Dancing With the Stars (seemingly entirely lip-synched) and GMA (half sung live and half lip synch). Props to the cast for keeping it all live! Especially if Ross was sick!!!

Well that’s because on dancing with the stars everything is lip synced cause they are only worried about dancing, Ross and them went on Dancing with the stars and it was lip synced too

This is so beyond impressive to me. I keep seeing all of these comments about how John DeLuca can't sing. He can carry a tune, but it was heavily manipulated in the movie. He sings a part in this when they're not running around and dancing (also after a bit of research I learned that he does in fact sing, and was in musicals in high school). I'm sure they had Ross do it because he's more practiced in singing while dancing so he could keep the song going.

Idk if the guitar was playback or not (bc, unlike his voice, it sounded so similar to the studio version) but from his left hand he looked like he was playing live. Rewatched the guitar part after seeing your comment and I agree. The guitar sounded too perfect when he jumped for it to be live but he obviously knew how to play it based on his right and left hands. They were perfectly in sync with the audio.

why is everyone hatin because johnny (butchy) didnt sing his part? ross had the incredible ability 2 do all he did & still stay n breath, the other actor would hav been out of breath very quickly & unable 2 perform. nothing against him, he's fantastic but he's likely not nearly as experienced a performer as ross
