Goderich is a town in the Canadian province of Ontario and is the county seat of Huron County. Located on the eastern shore of Lake Huron at the mouth of the Maitland River, Goderich faces the lake to the west and is notable for its sunsets. Some claim that Queen Elizabeth II once commented that Goderich was "the prettiest town in Canada" although no reigning monarch has ever visited Goderich. They had a tornado several years ago and lost many of the mature trees. The downtown square got it the worse.

Unfortunately, due to poor development, no activities for young people like bars or any form of night life whatsoever, and this being one of the rockiest beaches that it's unbearable to walk on over half of it, it does not attract any young people to come and spend money here. As a resident here for 26 years before I moved, there is just nothing to bring people outside to enjoy the massive potential this town has to offer. It is a very VERY quiet retirement town and council will keep it that way. This town hasn't changed in any significant way since the 90s and everything is closed by 8pm. It's a fun place to visit, but everyone is okay with leaving.
