I use shortening for Snickerdoodles and frying fish and chicken.

They look similar to the cookies my mom made, except bigger.
These are my favourite cookies that my mom makes for Christmas. BUT my family calls them Pet De Soeur which is Canadian French for sister farts lol. According to my mom, A great aunt of mine use to make them a lot and she was a nun so… some how the kids in my mom’s family just started calling them pet de soeur because… kids are mature lol
Oh she also adds nutmeg in with the cinnamon and brown sugar
