I'm capricorn lagna and my 1st lord is conjunct to 8th lord and 3rd and 12 th lords... so Sun, Saturn and Jupiter all 9th house in virgo. Is it a bad placement?? 8th lord posited in 7th house , definitely brings unhappiness, humiliation and insults from in-laws and also scandals propagated by in-laws. Even if 7th lord like Jupiter aspects an 8th lord like Mars , can not save the situation. But you should check the 7th house from Moon lagna also as well as in Navamsha .
Check the 8th lord of Rasi chart placement in Navamsha and the lord of the house in Navamsha where 8th lord of Rasi is placed.
The lord of the house of Navamsha decides a lot and it shall give an insight in to nature.

House placement should always be from the Bhava chart.
