    Going to have to make modifications to suit your needs , going to make life better in long run. Use one to fill my feeders cause I'm to old to do it manually. Corn out of field, into bin, into trailer and finally into feeders. Few things I did ,placed battery pack on front mount then ran wires to it and plug into outlet to charge, also got electrical vibration unit mounted to help when corn is low. Already know you going to love it and the time and money it saves. Love your videos getting ready for turkey season here in Georgia.

    Once you get the battery mounted for a short hoohup it will be fine. Looks like to me when the hopper gets low just close the hopper door a little as it goes down and it will pull feed out faster with vacuum. Altogether with the modifications that thing will be a dream. Keep these videos coming love em.

    Hey jason.keep that clean out blown out with a air hose after a while the corn dust builds up a when it get a little moisture it turns into concrete just like a feeder.I ran some quick dis-connect cables made for jumper cables that mount in the grill of a truck,just ran them back to the rear works good

    @mattyc195 Před 5 lety +2

    Nice rig! You could add another piece of flex hose on the end to make it easier for that type of feeder.

  • @michaelbaumgardner9493

    Good morning. Got my gears turning on seeing if it'll work for the dogs.?? Your back will thank you in spades. Sukup hoppers are really nice.

  • @baccerbuggy

    We have a Crustbuster tender similar to this. Running the wire to end of seed tube, relocate or put a 2nd on/off switch to end of tube because when it's full it's going to move some seed. When it gets low tap on side of hopper with rubber mallet, mite help empty out. That works with fertilizer tender. That's going to be a nice set up anyway you do it.

    Morning Bryan......Morning Jason...... Good Video and i would have bought a Corn Gravity Box and rigged it, to fill the feeders. Gravity works always. Electric pump etc not so much.

    That feeder is going to be sweet it sure will be easier on your back to fill it with the loader on the tractor than the one bag at a time.

    They make a 12 volt vibrator that will bolt on the hopper and it will help get all the feed out. Great equipment i like that. Bet it would work for cows and chickens and others as well. Be safe have a great day

    Jason I wonder how it would if you only opened the door about 1/4to1/2 way instead of fully opened it might make it a slight slower but it also empty better, but it’s all trial and error at this stage til you work out the best way that suits you it looks like it’s going to help you heaps all the best with it Jason.

    Sounds like a good deal! Maybe it will pay off for you. I know buying in bulk always saves money. I don’t know how the Polaris will hold up pulling that much weight but I believe you will figure it out. Have a good-un! Oh yes, not trying to be negative, just being cautious!

  • @jreclaim
    @jreclaim Před 5 lety +1

    It’d be nice if you could do away with the top auger and have the hose put on the bottom portion where your not having to erect that up and down and also add an electric or air vibrator to that hopper you could turn on when the feed gets low to help with the flow! Overall sweet rig tho.

  • @nicholasspeenburgh545
    @nicholasspeenburgh545 Před 5 lety

    U should install a corn bin on the farm Jason.. have it filled once or twice a year. Back your need toy up under it and fill her up.. no back work at all! 😀

  • @ohhpaul7364
    @ohhpaul7364 Před 5 lety

    Maybe keeping a broom attached to it so you can get the last 50 pounds to feed through quicker without climbing down in it? It will also need something you can poke it with, sometimes it will bridge up and not feed in. Nice tool, hope it works well for ya.

  • @kylanm7053

    Have you noticed any impact on your deer population with the added noise this generates? The general consensus in our club is that a blower would put too much pressure on the property and keep our deer skittish. Curious to hear your opinion.

  • @redfox5911
    @redfox5911 Před 5 lety

    How about mounting some remote battery posts (like on the rear of a drag car) on the Ranger so you don't have to fool with the battery box? I can already see you shortening the hopper pipe with the sawzall!

  • @mikehansel4297
    @mikehansel4297 Před 5 lety

    Jason, 18 volt Milwaukee blower to push the feed into the auger, then you wouldn't have climb into the hopper to kick it in.

  • @truckert6787
    @truckert6787 Před 5 lety

    Close your gate some when the feed gets low and it will pull it in better to the auger. See if that doesn't adjust your flow also.

  • @eddief3326
    @eddief3326 Před 5 lety

    you can go to supper sacks or bends like you said. but when full that is 18000 lb. you will need to pull that with the tractor.

      jreclaim has a good ideal on the flex tub . you will lose a lot of corn when you let the arger down , and when you get ready to put it up agean it will have corn in it witch will add weight . with the tractor you could add a hyo. clinder to lift the arger

Me and my wife hand picked around 12 to 14 acres of corn we planted. No fancy toys no corn picker that's walking down each Road and picking ear corn with a bucket
