Naa abhiprayam ,3 ,4 videos choosayanu challa bagunnaii ,kaani ee video 99 % full waste of time,thanu aa director avvasaram ainadhi cheppakundaa ,thana intelligence choopinchadaniki try chesthunatoo vundhi ,nenu athani cinemas choosayanu,they are very nice but I'm saying about interview.
Give me 5 minutes and i will tell you why kalki is a shit movie, SPOILER ALERT!!
1) we're told that kishore babu is a messianic figure and his death is supposed to be felt deeply by us and hence we should care about the investigation, but we're never shown why this kishore babu is a character that we're supposed to care for? what did he do to deserve our sympathies? he sent a dying guy to a hospital? antey antha basic panulakey janalu jejelu kottestharu and audience kooda fida ayipovala? so we failed to connect to the core premise of the movie itself and hence we never invested in the investigation ergo we felt bored.
2) kalki ne kishore babu ni champesi athaney investigate cheyadam anedi is a big fucking joke, idea manchidey but the way it's executed is stupid. enduku? ikkada we have a character(kalki) is privy to all the information and yet we're seeing the entire movie from his perspective, if the movie were to be told by rahul ramakrishna's point of view, a character who doesn't know anything about what happened antey rahul ramakrishna is basically us, the audience, then the film would've been very interesting and engaging, eppudaina audience ni story lo engage cheyyali, we should also be participating in the investigation, look at agent sai srinivasa athrey, it executed it wonderfully and that's why it never got boring but kalki treated us audience like we're fools and made us a passive participant and hence the proceedings felt boring AF!.
3) poni atleast the climactic reveal anna sarigga chesara antey, adhii ledu, rahul ramakrishna character should've discovered that kalki was the murderer by himself, antey? it means the screenplay should've left us clues, a trail of bread crumbs for us and rahul ramakrishna's character to connect the dots and for him(us) to figure out for himself by doing the math, but what do we get instead? we get two characters literally discussing the reveal and rahul eaves dropping on them to learn about the revelation, that is the LAZIEST way to reveal such huge twists, look at usual suspects, fightclub, primal fear to see how such mind bending twists are supposed to unravel.
4) the last "twist" that rajasekhar is the son of the rani herself is just unnecessary, i mean ok, he's her son, aithey? why should we care? through out the film there wasn't even a single scene to show us that we're supposed to care about this rani character, when we don't even care about her death , why should we care about her being alive? idhi enti antey, putting in a twist for the sake of putting in a twist, race 3 cinema range lathkor twists ivi. my 10 year old nephew comes up with better twists.
there are 7 people credited for working on the screenplay and yet we get this poorly written undercooked piece of shit film that's trying to hide it's glaring plotholes via slowmo shots and the worst part is the audience defending it like it's some masterpiece, if you really want to see a brilliant investigative thriller watch agent sai srinivasa athreya.
