  • This video tutorial will show you how to use Zoom for teaching. Zoom allows you to easily bring your classroom online. Teach online with Zoom with engaging features such as video, chat, screen sharing, whiteboard, and recording lessons. Zoom offers a full-featured Basic Plan for free with unlimited meetings. Try Zoom for as long as you like - there is no trial period. Your Basic plan has a 40 minutes time limit on meetings with three or more total participants.

    I'm a science tutor for my school. I usually tutor in person, but due to this pandemic, schools are closed for the remainder of the year; thus, my job has been converted to virtual (as many other jobs). Thanks for sharing!! It was very helpful.

    You have some very interesting things in here I had not seen anyone address. I'm a bit older and there are always missing links that make me feel like I may not be able to do this. You answered a few questions I wanted answered, and I have things I'd like to teach, but I didn't grow up with computers, and so many talk over my head...you did a great job on this one.thank you.

    Thanks for the great introduction. With Covid 19, our church cannot meet. I wanted to use Zoom to allow my Worship Team band and vocals to rehearse together and then record some songs of praise to share with the congregation. I will try to experiment with this today, and hope to use it to some extent tomorrow. Your advice would be gratefully appreciated!

    Thank you so much. I'm a beginner and I liked how you presented it. In the near future, I may need to prepare students for TOEFL as well. At present, I need to teach a couple of students conversation & reinforced grammar with a digitalized text.
    I will review the steps once more to make sure I learned them. I appreciate any additional tips you may want to recommend.

    We are just getting started with distance learning. Thank you so much for this tutorial. I have been practicing with Zoom on a Chromebook and now I have my school laptop and was shocked to see how different Zoom looks on a laptop.

    I have just heard of this Zoom site/program.I teach English in junior high school in Japan, so this is not of use for that, but it's a great, concise tutorial and should help me to do private classes if I can get my current private students to agree. I have not met them for over a month, and I am happy to wait for payment, so this may be just the ticket, thanks a lot.
    Now I am going to watch your Google Classroom vídeo (I am already a steady user of Google Docs for classroom materials, and there may be some link bewteen my Docs and my Google Class (if I use it) that I can make use of.

    How are you zooming into the various areas of your screen?
    Do you have recommendations for using a green screen?
    Are existing computer microphones and cameras adequate or do you suggest external microphones and cameras?

    Great video, thanks for that ! how about one wish to add a tablet in place of the whiteboard as it is easier to emulate drawing up math concept and solutions.

      One of the shortcomings of the Zoom whiteboard is adding images, PDFs and worksheets and annotating ( writing over them ). Playstore has this app called LiveClass.see: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.inschool.liveclass&hl=en
      You add all your images, PDFs etc into the lesson and just present it as a screenshare over Zoom or any live conferencing system. You can even save the lesson for broadcast at a later time. Try it.
