Yo, why do you all say the opposite of what they say. The chiefs went all out for tyreek barring cap space but didn't want to hold him if he wanted to relieve more from somewhere else because he deserves it. He left Kansas City, not the other way around!
He left them, correct. But he left because they didn't value him, they could have paid him what he wanted.
@@connorberglund7032 could they have though? I mean technically, sure. But realistically, from a salary cap and roster construction standpoint, nope definitely not. He wanted too much money for them to be able to construct a super bowl contender with the cap space that would be remaining. So they did the next best thing to retaining him at a reasonable dollar figure and got what they could for him. Now they hope they can hit on enough of the draft picks they acquired for him to remain a competitor in an insanely deep division and conference.Good for Tyreek getting the money he wanted. Personally I would have taken less to stay with the team I was in a special situation with. But that's just me. I don't fault either side for how this played out. Yes, I wish it worked out differently, but that's pro sports. These things happen.
Chris Middleton I agree with you. I think I was trying to say the same thing as you. What he wanted didn’t make sense for the roster.
Tyreek Hill is irreplaceable on that team. He bails out Mahomes so often the team won't be nearly as successful without him.
I don't like the phrase bail out. But yeah, definitely a 1-of-1 player. You're joking yourself if you think the Chiefs won't be a top offense still tho
