    it's very helpful and very systematic way of showing the progress. Thanks a lot. I just changed the battery in VW touran within 10 to 20 minutes and it's first time in my life. Great help.
    I have just used an extra solution on top of my plus (+) node as ATU suggests.

    • @TheBatteryShop
      @TheBatteryShop  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi - Thanks for watching! Many late model vehicles have to have the replacement battery "coded" or registered with the vehicle's battery management system. Check out our videos on how to do this. The links are in this video's description.

      The memory is never lost, change it directly, remove this battery, and place a new battery, attach the cables. Simple as that. I did on my TOURAN 2011.

    My car battery is not located under the hood and i can't find the damn thing anywhere. I have passat B8 2015 bluemotion. I checked the trunk, under the trunk cover, on the sides in the trunk, under the passenger seat, under the drivers seat and i can't find the damn thing 🤷‍♂️

      It's probably hidden with a plastic cover like mine. It should be in the same place as this video. Also, getting the clamp and the bolt in place again with the cover is insanely hard.

      @@TheBatteryShop Sorry, I strongly disagree with your explanation. The reason for disconnecting negative first and connecting it last is because from the positive pole you may accidentaly touch with the tightening key, any metal part of the car, creating a short circuit. Sparks are occuring no matter which pole is connected first and that is because the capacitors inside the car electronics are charging and draining higher current for a very short time. There is nothing to worry about, @Alexis5897. But modern cars need a "programming"of the ECU after battery was swapped, so, best is to go at a car service point.
