John Henry’s timing of step and rhythm was truly amazing to watch. He knew exactly what he had to do to win. He was such a strong willed and confident horse who loved to win. Always love John Henry! 💕🌹
I miss that horse, he had ability and personality, he didn't get spooked by the fans, he stopped, looked them over, accepted their love for him on his way to the track, and then put on a show for his adoring fans.
John always gave his all, he never chucked the bit. If John was not blocked by traffic, you were gonna have to earn it to beat him. He tortured the best the US had to offer on dirt and turf, that in itself is just amazing!
BC thanks again for a great posting. You know WHO I am by now, I'm sure!! Three wide down the stretch and those little legs got him in the lead...and the Living Legend does it again!!!! **SUPER HORSE** Love you John~John XOXO
According to the Legends series by Steve Haskins ( John Henry. Great book), Rubin felt slighted by Pincay. Rubin felt that Pincay had ignored him on occasion. Apparently when Pincay was in "race mode" he would often ignore people because he was so focused on his preparation.
I was there...my dad..RIP was horse groom for king go go...never will forget
Any track, any surface, any time!

McCarron is on Flying Paster; Pierce is on Super Moment
recutting mcarron was on J.H. I was there
Two really good horses couldn’t beat the great one
Who rode King Go Go?
@@charlesyoung7087The first time McCarron rode John Henry was the AMERICAN Handy cap in 1983
@@jonhaynes1577 Because Shoemaker decided to ride The Wonder for Charlie. A move he regretted.
pincay never forgave rubin (jh's owner) for taking him off JH...
Why did Rubin replace Pincay with Shoemaker?
According to the Legends series by Steve Haskins ( John Henry. Great book), Rubin felt slighted by Pincay. Rubin felt that Pincay had ignored him on occasion. Apparently when Pincay was in "race mode" he would often ignore people because he was so focused on his preparation.
