I am so thrilled to watch your videos. You explain everything so well even my child understand . God Bless You and thank you!
beautifully made. .. but there is a mistake. . zona glomerulosa not controlled by ACTH production .. mineralocorticoid system regulated by serm potassium K and Ang2 .. if problems develop in anterior pit only glucocoticoids and androgens are affected
Zona Glomerulosa is regulated by Renin-angiotensin.
Amal Ali correct. Though ACTH is the second activator of zona glumerulosa
ya u r correct
ACTH is necessary for aldosterone secretion but has little effect in controlling the rate of secretion
W.A.Y.S 107 wow a bunch of small nerds, now we need to bring a big moron and make a battle of of everyone!

I loved viewing this. I have some current issues at this moment. Doctors don't know what's going on....but I've been doing my own research..and coming across this was a great help.
Hey, just came accross your comment. Did you managed to find out what was happening to you? I hope you are well.
Honestly this is helping me survive and actually enjoy A-level biology.
this was beyond helpful, our pharmacology tend teacher tend to complicate stuff . thank u for this video
*the ACTH regulates only the F-zone and R-zone , doesn't affect the G-zone
You and ninja nerd are what makes medicine interesting.
Thank You for the great video. It really helped me out as I am working on my thesis on Exercise interventions with Veterans with PTSD. The drawings and explanations helped out a lot.
Hey , you explained very well . I just want to say there is some correction needed where you say that ACTH stimulates aldosterone release. But the regulation of aldosterone is mostly related to angiotensin and potassium ion conc. in ECF. ACTH affects directly to zona fasciculata to release cortisol by increasing cAMP activity.
I was struggling with this. It's EXACTLY what I needed. THANK YOU
The best explanation about Adrenal Glands online! Thank you Armando!!
Cortisol increases glycogen breakdown, not synthesis
Cortisol increase glycogen stores in liver, not breakdown
You both are wrong, cortisol activate the process of conversion the glucose into glycogen ( this is the direct effect) , otherwise âthe indirect effectâ it stimulates the release of epinephrine then the epinephrine activate the liver to breakdown glycogen into glucose, i know itâs paradoxical, but you can read more about this to understand why this happens.
Thank you very much â€I appreciate your sequential and clearly structured explanations. It helped me to have more insight.
Yeah, this 10 minutes save my life for this final test after learning nothing along this semester.
