the last songs from all the mixtapes are bonus tracks. each disc originally has 9 songs each. 9x3 is 27 and that’s why the first bonus track is called Twenty Eight because technically it’s the twenty-eighth song followed by Valerie and Til Dawn

I think the reason that Same Old Songs sounds so amazing is its position in the album. After two heavy songs like Initiation, it acts like the perfect cool down to this album. I absolutely adore the bass in that song. Definitely one of my favourites from Trilogy as a whole.
Bruh, don’t sweat ppl critiquing your reactions and what it is you focus on. First listen I know the feeling of needing to connect with the mood/vibe of the song. Idc how deep the lyrics are if I don’t feel or connect with the beat, I could care less to hear the lyrics. The beat needs to tell just as much of a story as does the lyrics. You’re catching on to what has made him successful and that is his sound!! His music gets better with every listen because when you begin to really listen & understand the lyrics with the production of his music it just becomes omg how did I not like this song or that song more the first time. Trust me I know the feeling. Keep reacting how u do bro, it’s Xotwod! Welcome to the club 🙌🏽 P.S. the song Love in the Sky of Kissland will blow your mind production wise, I’m calling it right now.
YESSSSSSSIRSKI. Been a fan since I was 14 (2014-15) and I mainly focused on BBTM and Starboy. When Texas got snowed in back in Feb, I spent the whole week going through his whole discography. Cold weather, candles to stay warm, and the greatest musical journey I've been on since To Pimp a Butterfly. Abel is such a gem. XOTWOD and much love.
Fantastic review man, really nice done. I hope to see you do all his albums in your time. There are many singles and features as well which are incredible and we, XO, will be here to make sure you listen to the whole discography. For us the Weeknd is like no other artist out there and we really appreciate non XO fans or non Weeknd fans going back and discovering his work. Thank you Charlie, really appreciate it.
