- We visited Georgetown, Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands on our recent cruise with Norwegian Cruise Line. In this video I'm sharing what we got up to wandering around the cruise port area and not doing a tour. Stick around to the end to see my overall thoughts of this port.

Shame it was so chaotic due to the storms.
I love street art.
The waterfront and colour of the water looked beautiful despite the damage.
The water near the main port looks amazing. I love the turquoise colors of the water there. I hope they can fix up the damage quickly, it looks like it would be a great place to visit.
Wow! That’s great your boat was able to get docked. Sucks the others had to be turned away. And wow, that wind must’ve been vicious for all of the damage the island encountered. Thanks for showing how we can get around with booking a tour. But good to know a tour will be useful to see more of the island.
The boat looks nice. It seems the weather had been stormy. Very well captured street art on the port area.
The cruise looks great! although weather is not very friendly but you managed to get some good shots and enjoyed it. You guys gave perfect tour of Georgetown.

We haven't had Georgetown, Grand Cayman as a cruise port yet. Good to know there are lots of options by the port without having to do paid excursions.
It looks like the weather has been pretty stormy out there! Lucky you can still find some restaurants with a seaview! 😊

wow. the destruction along the beach looks really bad like things were totally crushed by the storms. the water looks good i can only imagine the snorkelling and diving is great!
We really enjoyed Grand Cayman. We visited the Cayman Turtle Center. It was so much fun.
We'll have to do that next time!

I saw Georgetown and thought of Bermuda for a second. A lot to do in this cute town. I love some of the artwork. That water is screaming to be jumped in. Is the Cayman dollar 1-1 with US? I found that was the same in Bermuda. Boy did they get smacked hard. Great tour of the Island.
I can't wait for the Cozumel video. I didn't get to do Cozumel when we were in Playa last time.
When did you go on the cruise? We went over spring break and it looked perfect in the port!
We were there during first week of February so they must have worked quickly!
Great vlog. I'm sailing solo on Celebrity. Do they have registered taxis at Port to catch to 7 mile Beach? Also, would you recommend the public bus to the beach for a solo traveler?
They had registered buses and taxis. There will probably be many other cruisers going to the beach so I'd recommend chatting with people waiting and hopping into a bus with some of them.
Seems like you didn't have a lot of luck on this trip...
Right!? 🤣 BUT we still made our own fun while we were on vacation. Gotta make ot count 👌

Exactly- we were just glad to be on a cruise!
That was pretty much our experience on the new Viva in December. Glad to be on a beautiful new ship, but everything that could go wrong seemed to happen. Although, it was nice to be in paradise with "the covid cruise" and all the other disorganization.😅
@srl21500 we always take the approach that we are just happy to be on vacay on a cruise. But sometimes I wish it could go a bit smoother! 🤣🤦♀️
