Sanqing Mountain is located at the junction of Yushan County and Dexing City, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, China, 50 kilometers away from Yushan County and 78 kilometers away from Shangrao City. Sanqing Mountain is the main peak of the Huaiyu Mountains. It is named because Yujing, Yuxu and Yuhua are "three steep peaks, as if the Sanqings are sitting on the top". Among the three peaks, Yujing Peak is the highest, with an altitude of 1816.9 meters, ranking fifth in Jiangxi. The peak is also one of the sources of Xinjiang River.
Sanqing Mountain has beautiful scenery and is also a famous Taoist mountain. It was listed as a national key scenic spot in 1988, a national geological park in 2005, a world natural heritage in 2008, a Chinese AAAAA tourist area in 2011, and a world geopark in 2012.
