    Watching now on another device, but thought I’d mention, maybe a bit of tubing on the end of the funnel will help keep the head down when filling? That’s what they do when filling growlers in our pubs. Fills from the bottom, decreases the foam. Tried that, Phil? Just a thought. Cheers!

    • @philyourboots
      @philyourboots  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi so I hope you enjoy as much as I do.... to answer your questions 1, the 5L kegs differ depending on what part of the country you live in for some reason.... Doom Bar sells a lot on Tescos my local its £16 then Iceland do Budvar for same price but my local in st helens don't stock it then beer monster Web site you can get anything you want. Also when your keg is empty you have a few more options, ebay or Amazon sell replacement (reusable) bungs £2 for 4. Then I fill them with cans of cider, LAGER bitter or IPA. Not tried guineas yet... you get a few weeks in the fridge once sealed. I also put home brew in mine, by far the cheapest option (last batch was 34p a pint for lager!) Then tour second question is the cO2 I started with 1 per keg but the tap acts as a non return valve so you can change the keg and not lose any gas. So I'm getting over 1 and half kegs per bulb... I purchased mine from Amazon but ebay also sell them... the more you get the cheaper they are. I paid 50p each for mine.... some things to look out for are the gas seal can fall out when changing it, that holds the pin in place for piercing the gas, you should have I spare in the box but I have a few more just in case but I'm still on 1st one..... overall I really rate the kit, nothing like a fresh pint after work chilled!! Anything else please ask... ENJOY!
