Good song Herr Ludwig !!! The Luftwaffe had some great music especially the song used in the beginning of the movie Battle of Britain.
That had nothing to do with the Luftwaffe - it was written for the film by Ron Goodwin.

Ron Goodwin's "Aces High" march is a fantastic march, and a superb example of a march in the German tradition.
Afaik the movie was supposed to receive truly epic music by Sir William Walton, but due to an extremely unfavorable review of the score by the US production head the final score was written by Ron Goodwin and the only part of Walton's music used accompanies the air battles. The opening march also had to be unusually long, since it had to cover the whole intro/air fleet inspection sequence.
Nice to see more old pre-WW2 German airforce marches, I wonder if there are songs made in ww1 or about ww1 with lyrics.
most german marches you find are made in ww1 like wenn die soldaten or Schwarzbraun ist die Haselnuß . Those are my personal favorites

This reminds me of flying in my old E89 convertible. It was a fun one, for a car. I had it with a yellow front end and mirror caps and the Heer crosses on each door along with two ‘chipped edge’ shield emblem crests on either front quarter panels behind the front wheels with a little ‘Hans in Luck’ character carrying a goose under arm and waving his cap in the other.
(My name is Hans and I’ve always adopted that Hans in luck as my emails n’ the like.)

Oh, to get military medals, it was wanted also to shot down observers ballons. The german word is ,Fesselballon' ( bound ballon), because they are fixed to ground with a long rope. No shooting down a ,bound ballon' which can not escape is no heroic thing, many pilots of wwl critisiced this orders.
While I understand the ideas, was it more civilized with such massive death, war, and disease? I would like to think so as much as you do, but unfortunately, the facts are that this was a violent and grim time.

Liebe Moni und lieber Thomas, herzliche Grüße zurück, hier sonnig, wird warm und feucht nachmittags, jetzt sehr schön. 2 meiner Enkerln(10,6) amüsieren sich auf dem Mont Blanc, (eben Photos bekommen), die Familie ihrer Mama besitzt dort ein schönes Landhaus. Kommen nächsten Sonntag wieder heim. Würde auch gern dort sein!

I do not know why exactly, but for me, this is the aerial equivalent of "Fehrbelliner Reitersmarsch" but cavalry replaced with aircraft.

Werter Dr. Ludwig, ich suche seit längerem ein Lied das ich vor Zeiten mal auf CZcams hörte und seither nicht mehr finde, ich vermute, dass es sich um ein Fahrtenlied aus den 20ern und 30ern handelt es ging dabei um Kosaken bzw. um einen Kosaken der seine Erfahrungen mit dem Kosakenheer schildet und dabei erwähnt, "zweimal sah ich Petersburg" und das sie offenbar Händler (wenn ich mich recht entsinne war das verwendete Wort "Stalagnost" oÄ) ausplünderten. Ich erinnere mich nur bruchstückhaft würde dieses Lied aber gerne finden und dachte mir, dass sie da vllt. helfen könnten.

The plane looks like a Albatros D III. Reminds me of the 90's and playing the flight sim Red Baron. If you did well you were permitted to paint your plane. I chose red that being my favourite colour. Oh, of course I always flew for the good guys. In WW1 that was Germany. : )
